8,7:On the nose, medicinal with esters and glue, nail polish, solvents, fermented, overripe tropical fruits like banana and pineapple, mango, dairy hints, floral, grassy molasses, roasted wood notes like cookie dough, caramelized, vanilla, meaty, smoky, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, citrus fruits and guava arise, dairy notes like yoghurt, cheese, caramel, roasted nuts, buttery peanuts, chocolate, vegetal becomes briny, rubber joins. 8,7:On the palate, the attack is intense with medicinal notes like esters and glue, nail polish, solvents, some varnish, fruity with fermented tropical fruits like banana and pineapple, later citrus, red fruits and melon hints, dairy, roasted wood notes like dark chocolate, roasted nuts, pastry, bubble gum, caramelized, spicy with allspice, anise hints, peppery, dry, oily with vegetal molasses and briny olive, lemon grass, tea, sweet with honey. 8,4:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, medicinal, slightly metallic, fruity with fermented tropical and citrus, red and candied fruits, dairy hints, molasses is vegetal with briny olive, earthy, fresh with lemon grass, as oak is roasted, smoky with nuts, caramel, cocoa, bubble gum, spicy with vanilla, anise, peppery, warm.

... Hampden, a legendary Jamaican distiller that produces rum as well as alcohol for perfume. In all the rums from this distillery you will taste wild esters, after which your whole organism will soak up the smell of golden tropical fruits - mango, papaya, pineapple, peach. One of the "must try before you die" rums

A hair behind itp/h for me. But top-notch. A bomb of esters, overripe fruit, pineapple, solvents and more. It's funky as hell and stays on the palate for a very long time. It's a really lovely rum.

Strong, finally a really good Hampden where you can clearly recognize the tropical fruits banana and pineapple as well as many esters. Probably missing a few words :) should not be a problem..

#7096 28.07.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after training on my bike. Listening to some nice new trance tracks on Spotify. Pretty nice rum with an OK price tag at release in my mind. Intense profile in good balance with overripe fruit, spice, varnish, glue, light salt, olives and roasted wood.

An ester bomb. A pile of very overripe fruit on the nose, with a bit of glue thrown in. The whole thing is very juicy. After sipping, a classic estery jamaica that vibrates the tongue and fills the mouth with fruit. Lovely warming finish. Wonderful.

Excellent 👌 You can clearly feel the influence of the 2 distilleries, Lp and H The dosage of one and the other is perfect. Alcohol perfectly integrated, nice length, on yellow fruit. Very good juice 🤩🤩🤩

On the nose: Esters, fermented notes, glue notes, pineapples and bananas. Also there are vanilla&caramel notes that stand out nicely. Taste: Esters and light glue notes. Overripe pineapples and bananas with little bit of woody notes. Mouthfeel is slightly oily and there are some honey notes in there too. Finish: Peppery notes, light roasted notes, overripe pineapples and bananas. Vanilla notes. Finish feels kind of short and dries out quickly. Maybe the blend leans more ITP. Nice notes on the taste, but the finish could be better.

Really good ! Nose with over ripe fruits, chemicals, banana, some HPDN funk. Attack strong but balanced, with a lot of fruits - as in the nose. Very consistent. Very long and pleasant finish. A really good one !

Tasted at the same time as the ITP , my favorite of the two and a real winner for me. Quite an interesting nose I find, with petrol and esters very present but a sweeter smell behind that reminds me of just-baked pancakes. In the mouth, it coats the tongue and palate with a very pleasant sensation of sweetness. An explosion of tropical fruit balanced by the liveliness of the alcohol and notes that remind me of pepper. The finish is incredible, very long and very pleasant, with sweet notes of cooked wine, prune and vanilla. I'm left with an image of mulled wine.

Solid ester Jamaican - mix of Long Pond and Hampden. In the nose and taste overripe tropical fruit (especially pineapple) and solvents, in taste adds pungency and peppery tones. Decent drink, but a bit missing to the absolute top.

Thanks to Jörg for his renewed attempt but unfortunately I can't get along with it. Let's wait another 2 years, maybe my taste will develop. The 61.5% is not what bothers me.
