Bologna calls in the heavy artillery with this raw, single-varietal (black cane) monster. The nose is immediately apparent, with its strong vegetal, earthy, herbaceous and floral overtones. You'd think you were in a sugarcane field. Behind this fresh, wet nose, however, lie citrus fruits and notes of spice and pepper. A slightly tense Bologna that's just waiting to be released. The palate is lively and very spicy. Aniseed pops up alongside lime, sugarcane, chili and earth to remind us that this is a beast that's hard to tame. It feels like the breath of the desert on the palate, with a lovely aromatic intensity. The alcohol, however, is very well integrated. The finish is long and warm. Once again, the spices (chili pepper) wage a merciless battle against the planty, herbaceous aromas to establish their supremacy on the palate, with citrus standing in ambush. Powerful yet well-structured and balanced, this Bologna will be the perfect companion for a Ti Punch from hell.

This was a huge surprise because once rested the ABV comes of as very well integrated. I could pick up the flavours as soon as I opened the bottle and they only grew stronger while resting. Fruity and fresh with a real Agricole nose and palate. The price to quality is very good in my mind.

Spannendes Profil, bin grundsätzlich wirklich ein Fan von Canne Noir. Hier überwiegen aber etwas zu sehr die erdigen Noten und die feine Süße aus der Nase gerät etwas in den Hintergrund, vor allem im Abgang. Trotzdem ein wirklich starker BdC mit unglaublich gut integriertem Alkohol.
