The half-empty bottle has been sitting in my cupboard for a year now. This waiting time has really done the rum a lot of good. The nose is extremely fruity, sweet and the apple mentioned several times comes across even better than in the freshly opened bottle at the time. It has many similarities with an English Harbour Antigua, which I really like. The 48% burn is less than a year ago. Mirabelle plum, wood and caramel have a positive influence on the palate and the slight floral note makes the whole thing even more interesting. Very tasty.

This Transcontinental Line is very successful. There are lots of herbs on the nose, especially mint. The palate is then also predominantly very herbal and lots of mint. I find such mint-flavored rums really delicious.

24.02.2023 Enjoying some samples at home with a good friend. Colour Light to medium dark in colour. Nose Light wood, floral, light raisin, cherry, light honey, spice, cardamom. Palate Round, light wood, faint roasted, light flowery, spice, light orange, faint raisin, light cherry. Finish Medium long, light wood, fruits, grapes, spice, light floral, faint orange.

The rum is dry and herbal, just as I expect from Australia. The cask also brings young, fresh wood notes, along with a light fruitiness. On the palate, it’s slightly sweet at first. Herbal in the finish.

I'm quite surprised by the quality offered here for this price, I didn't expect that! Very pleasant herbal notes that lean a bit towards mint. Along with cookie dough/butterscotch and vanilla with yellow fruits and woody hints - soft and round, slight notes of alcohol, which overall is well integrated. Could become a nice standard in my cabinet!

Mundet. I only knew the Beenleigh 2013 from Australia so far. A similar fruity profile on the nose, I recognized the green apple, although the community probably tends more towards pears. The influence of both casks is noticeable on the palate, very bourbony profile, but you can also recognize the cognac.

Eucalyptus hits the nose first. Butterscotch and dried figs following. A good mix of herbal and spicy notes. The eucalyptus is still prominent for me on the palate. Very Dry. White grapes also present with a bitter barrel note that I wasn't expecting from the nose. Somewhat nutty. The finish is quite short. Notes of brioche buns and black tea mainly. A nice rum. Not something for those who like the sweeter rums but it's interesting.

I really like the nose,this creamy toffee combined with the minty freshness and subtle spice. On the palate woody,spicy. Bourbon with herbs. Seems a bit thin. After several sips it remains surprisingly long in the mouth, but not much more than wood and bitterness.For this price segment quite a good rum, like almost all of TCRL.

This was my first Beenleigh, it was love at first sip. Now it can no longer be missing from my cabinet alongside the great classics. It smells of apple and red fruit, and in the finish you can taste the whisky barrel where it was aged, great value for money.

Surprisingly complex! At first, a very light hint of mint and bourbon, which then shifts to vanilla and caramel. In the finish, apple comes in, settling on the palate and creating a great flavor profile. Despite the lack of sugar and the 48% ABV, surprisingly mild and pleasant to drink. My first Australian rum and definitely not my last. Not a bargain, but a real insider tip for fans of mild but unsweetened rums outside the Caribbean islands.
