Best sipped neat with a few drops of water, which one member says opens up the depth. The nose is the fun part: orchard and stone fruit (peach, apple, pineapple), spice, wood and a chocolate-and-pencil-shavings edge with a faintly musty note. The palate turns drier and more brutal — peppery spice, vanillaed oak, a touch of licorice bitterness. At 62.3% the alcohol isn't perfectly tucked in.

#7185 19.08.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after a nice bike training. Listening to some tracks by Charlotte de Witte on Spotify. Very nice Diamond with a nice price tag at release in my mind. Intense profile with fruits, spice chocolate, pencil shavings, roastd wood, medicinal and light salt.

I like Guyana rum! A wild interplay of fruit on the nose, paired with fine spices and wood, plus chocolate with pencil shavings and that slightly musty note that reminds me of an old hospital. The alcohol could be a bit better integrated. I'd classify it as a good mid-range Diamond.

A rum from Guyana that starts with a nice nose full of fruits (pineapple, apple, peach and lemon), spices, wood and caramel that blend harmoniously. The palate is more brutal, turned to spices (chili pepper in particular), vanilla wood and a touch of bitterness that contrasts with the exuberance of the fruits on the nose. We also detect notes of licorice. The rum is dry but quite creamy in the mouth. The finish is medium long with the same bitter, licorice, wood, spice, caramel and vanilla notes. A contrasting rum but diverse in flavors.

Strong demerara With an impressively balanced nose, the spice then dominates the palate, but if you give it time, fruit also comes through here, I detected some peach. Unfortunately, the finish drops off a little

Very nice and komplex young Versailles. Classic VSG notes with plenty add-ons I did not expect. This will need some more sessions to fully explore. Pleasantly surprised 👍

Nose: white-fleshed fruits (white peach) and orchard fruits (apple-pear), vanilla, caramel, woody notes that become more discreet with aeration and a spicy side. Palate: always the same orchard fruits, vanilla, spices (nutmeg and pepper), a slight licorice note and a slight bitterness. Medium finish, slightly metallic and quite alcoholic, the bottle having just been opened I think this will soften with oxidation. For €89 it's still quite nice for a fairly young rum.
