Herbal, whisky and vanilla notes dominate the nose, accompanied by coconut and roasted tones. On the palate, spicy wood, caramel, toasted aromas and a fine bitterness appear. The finish is warm with vanilla, some honey sweetness and nutty nuances. Very cleanly distilled, balanced and with subtle complexity.

I would never recognize as Barbados rum blind, even if the Rockley still is a bit different but here it is clearly too medicinal, smoky, whisky-like, with a strange bitterness and acidity... overall also a bit too alcoholic and just not my thing. Strong similarity though to the RA Rockley 2021!

A wonderful rum truly true to its origin on Barbados. Fruity and herbal with some caramel and chocolate. A very well balance and complex rum. Should have bought a few extra bottles.

A strong and intense rum, very spicy with floral notes. Nose: tea, biscuit, caramel, dried pineapple, subtle resin. Taste: complex and versatile. Peach, caramel, beeswax and everything lightly smoked. Slightly medicinal. Long and sweet finish: rock sugar, dried peach and vanilla beans. Subtle wood and apple.

I like this rum. The bottle is almost empty. A very clean distilled spirit, I’d say a column still rum with no mistakes done. As a result, all flavors are very subtile and somehow it reminds me of a slightly peated Caol Ila Whisky or a Port Ellen. It’s extremely well balanced and the ABV integration is very smooth. Not a typical Rum, but of high craftsmanship quality. The flavors we like with our Caronis and Hampdens are basically a result of tailings.
