Une marque reconnaissable parmis toutes. Ce que fait savanna de mieux selon moi. Des fruits mûres, de l'intensité et de la longueur.

Joke of the day. Mix of a cheap fruit sweet and toilet cleaner. I particularly disliked the detergent finish… 😱 Sample bottle was reused, so the label is wrong.

You either like it or you don't, but you can't remain indifferent to this new version of HERR. For me, it's an unqualified success. Perhaps more accessible than the previous version, as it's fruitier. A really good blend of fruit, esters, a fermented sensation and planty notes. For me, it's 100% validated, even though I'm not a big fan of the older Savannas.

And now another Savanna. I love these rums. The typical taste of the olive can of course be recognized here too. Otherwise beautifully fruity, typically overripe. Pineapple, mango. Simply delicious.

Il n’est pas encore là mais j’ai même pu goûter le 2023. Un nez compliqué à décrire et unique, Un cote bonbon fraise tagada déroutant, C’était ouf ! Même si sûrement pas 2 verres d’affilée. Une superbe cuvée après avoir re gouté.

Unfortunately, I don't like the new batch at all. I let it breathe for over an hour, but in direct comparison with the old Savanna Herr 57% or 62.5%, the typical pineapple gummy bear and general fruit power is almost gone. The ice candies are still there, but otherwise it has a very vegetable and fresh profile. Too bad. But there are several years in between and this shows just how much terroir and time can influence the taste of a rum that has not been produced for several years, as I learned in an interview with Noelle Traxel at the GRF 2022. Unfortunately, it is also disappointing for me in a daiquiri :(

An outstanding Agricole with a really nice and different profile. It is surprisingly sweet and fruity and because of it’s balanced complexity one of my favourites.

Wider ein schöner Savanna Herr. In der Nase auf jeden Fall sehr frisch. Olive sticht hier auf jeden Fall hervor. Außerdem ist Ester erkennbar. Am Gaumen auch viel Olive und Ester, Savanna typisch sehr pflanzlich und funky. Aber sehr gut.
