Pineapple and banana lead the nose, then it turns properly Guyanese on the palate — woody, nutty, spicy and a little smoky. One member called it a "very nice young PM," and that fits: this is a raw-cask Diamond bottled unfiltered, sediment and all. Warm and spicy at 55.7%, it needs 15-20 minutes in the glass to settle. Several tasters note it drinks young and almost whisky-like.

Price to quality is really good on this bottle. I do like that you can see that it's a true raw cask. The bottle we sampled had a nice pile of sediment at the bottom. Really nice bahan style rum in the flavours with a touch of whisky in the back. Nice balance between wood and spices as well as the nice fruitiness. Warm and spicy on the palate but after resting for 15-20 minutes it's ready.

Aquavitae Mülheim October 2025. Blackadder No. 3. This time Guyana. Nose very fruity, tropical fruits like pineapple and banana are recognizable. On the palate, it becomes more Guyana-like, spicy, woody, nutty, and smoky.

The aroma is rather disappointing. Palate is better but still tastes quite young. When tasting this blind, I would not guess it's from Guyana. Not my favourite bottling from Blackadder, but price-quality is still ok.

A rum I brought while on a getaway in April 2024. Very heavy in the nose, with hints of olives and molasses. It has a depth in flavor with notes of nut, olive-oil and a dried fruityness in the aftertaste.

Tasted at Sanctus Spiritus ‘26 Very linear on the nose with foremost dried fruits, citrus meringue and seawind. Except for the slightest hint of banana and plastic wrap perceivable, this could have easily been mistaken for whisky. Is this my glass or the Old Pulteney in the stall next to me I’m smelling? In the glass light notes of wood and quite fresh. More citrus meringue, jarred lemon and sugarcream pastries; you know, those cloyingly sweet ones. On the back of the tongue blue grapes and a light dusting of christmas spice. Interesting on a hot day. The finish is short and dry, slightly fatty with white chocolade and more lemon meringue.
