Comparative tasting with RX890 Nose: as with the RX890, the alcohol is very well integrated and brings a lot of fruit and agricole aromas. The palate is also a little dull but not as much as RX890. This rum also delivers a little more sweetness. In the finish, the spectrum fans out again enormously. Because of the nuance of more sweetness, the 2015 vintage gets one point more from me. Both bottlings are very similar and exemplary examples of what rum matured exclusively in steel tanks can do.

RumX Advent Calendar 2024 post-tasting, 17 So, I managed to get the untasted one over with 😂 Sniff test: Agricole Then spiked and did the tasting not blund. Not my profile. I do unaged agricoles in the ti Punch but pure they just don't blow me away.

Day 17 RumX Advent Calendar 2024 Well, how to start. This rum is quite a board. Unaged and Agricole was actually clear, but I couldn't determine or narrow it down. After the resolution, I realized that I had already tasted a similar one (RX890). For me personally, it was nice to have had this one in my glass, but these are simply not for me on their own. It was also too alcoholic for me.

Ein toller weißer Agricole! Sehr intensiv mit gelben Früchten, grünem Apfel und frischer Limette. Der Alkohol ist sehr gut eingebunden und der Abgang mittellang. In einem Ti Punch vielleicht noch besser.

Calendrier de l’Avent RumX, jour 17. Un nez puissant et fruité, fruits jaunes et pomme en particulier, agrumes et un côté végétal, herbacé. La bouche est alcoolisée, mais en même temps incroyablement fruitée. D’abord perturbé par un alcool très élevé, je suis ensuite impressionné par la complexité des arômes. Arômes qui, étonnamment pour un rhum blanc, ne disparaissent pas tout de suite et restent même longtemps présents. Un côté doux accompagne la dégustation de manière très agréable. Un très beau rhum blanc, loin derrière les très beaux rhums âgés tout de même.

Tag 17 des RumX-Adventskalenders: Ein großer Vorteil von Rum gegenüber Whisky ist, dass die Rohbrände auch ohne Reifung in Holzfässern von beeindruckender Tiefe und harmonischer Aromenfülle sein können, wie es zum Beispiel dieser Longueteau beweist. Die pflanzliche, grasige Frische des Zuckerrohrs zaubert hier bei einem erfreulich unanstrengendem Mundgefühl nicht nur zahlreiche Fruchtnoten hervor, sondern hat auch das nötige Kräuter-Gewürzrückgrat, um durch das Finale nachhaltig in Erinnerung zu bleiben.

On aeration, we sense sweetness of the cane, various vegetal aspects like earthiness, some olive and mushrooms, slightly rotten, smoky, sweet roasted almonds, even vanilla as it rounds intense first impression of this rum.If we wait long enough, confectionery with yeast and cookie dough comes out. 8,4:On the palate, the attack is hot, but balanced, tasty with sweet sugar cane, grassy and flowery with geranium, vegetal with olive, mineral and peppery, fruity with citrus and tropical fruits.When the rum is oxidized, it becomes nutty and salty, smoky, slightly bitter and acidic, but fresh with tea. 8,1:The finish is medium long, dry, the cane is vegetal, grassy and herbaceous, mineral, fruity with orange and lemon peel, peppery and slightly smoky..

Last Sundays tasting was a great one and one of the best ones this year. This is the heavy stuff and you can pick up the flavours from a distance away just ope ING the bottle. Hot stuff on the palate but a very nice one. Try without water first, just let it rest for 30 minutes.

RX Kalender 2024: erster Eindruck an der Nase: Fruchtbonbon (Zitrone), Gemüse, eingekochte Früchte, eine angenehme Frische über allem. Der hohe ABV ist zwar präsent, aber er sticht nicht. Am Gaumen kandierte Früchte, pflanzliche Noten. Gefällt gut für einen Agricole blanc!

RumX Kalender 2024 Day 17: Nochmal ein Ungelagerter, an der Nase frisch und Zitrusfrucht, der Kopf springt sofort zu einem Daiquiri xD Süße nach Zuckerrohr! Eventuell ein Clairin? Im Mund deutlich intensiver & alkoholischer als an der Nase. Brennt sich seinen Weg den Gaumen runter. Mit ein wenig Zeit wird es besser, die Frische und Süße sind auch präsent, dennoch bleibt die Schärfe. Was kommt nochmal nach Overproof? Bestimmt geil im Daiqui, was ein Brett

RumX Adventskalender 2024 Tag 17. Hätte diesen ehrlich gesagt nicht so gut erwartet. Nase ist schön floral und pflanzlich, Zuckerrohr ist auch erkennbar. Am Gaumen ist er sehr frisch, Gras und Olive lassen sich hier noch erkennen.

RumX Adventskalender 2024: Nr. 17 Der zweite klare Rum in diesem Kalender. In der Nase sehr pflanzliche Noten (viel Olive). Hat wohl einen sehr hohen ABV, der sich deutlich bemerkbar macht. Holt mich persönlich geschmacklich leider nicht so ab.

Satte Zuckerrohr-Aromatik, Zitrusnoten, Olive, Karamell, dezenter Pfeffer. Am Gaumen brachial, der Alkohol ist nicht zu leugnen, aber die expressiven Zuckerrohr- und Fruchtaromen bieten einen ansprechenden Counterpart.

Hatte noch nicht viel von Longueteau im Glas, aber ich bin wieder positiv überrascht. Sehr schöner ungereifter Agricole. Zuckerrohr, Olive, ein bisschen nussig, viele pflanzliche Noten und bringt erstaunlich viel Süße mit. Dazu noch ein sehr langer Abgang.

Beeindruckend guter brut de colonne Agricole mit gut integriertem Alkohol für einen derart hohen Alkoholgehalt. Birne, Bienenwabe, Sternanis, salzige Olivenlake, Zitronenschale und etwas Lakritz. Wirklich gut. Der Vorgänger Genesis hat mir eben glaub noch ein Tick besser gefallen.
