Starkes Dingen, gefällt mir echt gut, zwar kein Top Guyana, aber trotzdem sehr lecker. Wir haben hier auf jeden Fall ne Menge Kaffee, sowie auch dunkle Schokolade, neben etwas Karamell und auch Vanille...

Has virtually zero in common with the famous representative of Velier, which is not least due to the almost imperceptible maturation. Unfortunately, the alcohol content is also still clearly noticeable even after more than two hours in the glass. With the LBI Marque, of course, high expectations are aroused, but even apart from that, the impression remains with me that here a distillate has found its way into the bottle, which would have done very well with a few more years of maturation.

Interesting fresh, green, fruity, almost floral nose: unripe green papaya and still green plantain with green apple. Sweetness of honeycomb and sugar syrup. Above that, a light scent of rose water. Behind that hides some vanilla and mace.Surprisingly different on the palate: blatant licorice, and that soft sweet malty Danish licorice. There's also molasses, licorice, baking spice and some toffee. Also seems somehow chocolaty.In the finish remains this malty and spicy licorice note.The alcohol is very well integrated.Pleases me overall quite well and is something different.

Classic Guyana Savalle notes are clearly noticeable. However, the bottling feels not quite ready… the batch should definitely get some more time in the casks - looking forward to the future results :)

Insgesamt etwas zu alkoholisch was hier den Genuss doch etwas trübt. Der RumX lebt ansonsten deutlich von seinem würzigen Profil. Frucht kommt eher ergänzend dazu. Bringt auch einige Süße mit sich was den Rum nicht unspannend macht

#5881 22.10.2025 Enjoying a few samples while watching "Grimm". Nose Fresh, light wood, light apple, light caramel, light floral, light mango, light plum. Palate Oily, fresh, light wood, light roasted, light chocolate, light caramel, dried fruit, light salty, light apple, faint cherry. Finish Medium to long, oily, light wood, light caramel, faint chocolate, apple, light vanilla, light salty. Empty glass Vanilla, light choolate, caramel, dried fruit, light licorice.

On pour I could not get anything else than some unaged PM notes coupled with damp moss and ethanol. However luckily enough the smell developped over the next 45+ minutes into something more, something elegant yet powerful. Top notes of coconut water and husks, some apple slices and waves of chewy toffee. Cherry wood chips, with sparse spices. A display of dusty rocks, must and petrichor, followed by green tea. On the palate quite the surprise. Immediately more toffee and coconut, but this time together with both red and green parts of rhubarb. Again cherry wood chips, but the spice is much more present, especially salt. Raw nuts and a synthetic flavour which I can’t really put my finger on. Damp and lightly vegetal with green olives eventually ending in a bouquet of flowers. The finish is medium in length. Heavily salted, raw nuts, some glazed coconut chunks and stewed rhubarb. My expectations were very low after reading some reviews, but this positively surprised me. I suspect some reviewers simply did not let it breathe enough, as it took almost an hour to open up.

Better than nobilis selection, it actually opens up only after a long time (thanks to the community for the suggestion), even if the alcohol is still not very well integrated. White chocolate, chestnut honey and some spices, with a better alcohol integration could have been in the 80-85 range

After reading some community reviews about this rum, i decided to let this rum sit in the glass for ~1.5 hours before tasting it. On the nose: Young wood, spicy/baking spices and vanilla dominate. I get hints of fruits like papaya and green apple juice. Little bit of sweetness from toffee. Something isnt right on the nosing palate even after sitting long time in the glass, its a bit alcoholic and unbalanced. Taste: Licorice notes at first and that is the dominating note that i get from this rum. Spices and molasses on the background. Dry, a little bit of creamy mouthfell. The abv could be integrated better. Finish: Licorice, dry. Little bit of spices and caramel in there. Medium finish. Not as bad as i expected based on the previous reviews and the licorice notes didnt bother me at all, but it certainly feel unfinished product based on nosing and the alcohol integration.

At bottle opening, the rum was not expressive and disappointing but a few months later the change is radical, on the nose indulgent milk chocolate, juicy and tangy fruits, on the palate alcohol well integrated, same notes on the palate with a slight woodiness, but still too young overall. Short slightly bitter finish.

The Bonne Intention is too immature for me from the nose to the finish... The nose is still halfway acceptable, then on the palate the first disappointment, the alcohol is poorly integrated and dominates the flavors even after taming the same. These are definitely present, but of the dark spicy variety, as is the finish. This rum is so not at all mine

The nose is quite atypical for a Guyana-almost reminds me of an Agricole. On the palate young citrus, vanilla, alcohol not well integrated. Overall, it seems too young.

I found it very complex and evolving on all levels, nose, palate and finish. Despite the many criticisms, I don't find it so aggressive nor so 'young', I think the color is misleading.

I would not have blindly put in Guyana. Rather direction Cuba in barrel strength. Interesting, but for me a bit too wild and sharp-edged. No comparison to his legendary brother from Velier.

Sorry, but this is not drinkable. It could also be a xpopular spirit of a South Georgian miner who has never known pre-middle and post-middle and who has co-distilled the blond mane of his favorite pony 🤷.

Fillings from Nektar always raise big expectations in me. So let's get to it. In the nose, I sensed sweetness, coconut, and some fruity syrup. On sipping, these sweet tones are intense, but the alcohol still needed to calm down.

My first taste of La Nonne Intention, Crazy profile... 10 years of aging with the color of Prosecco... nose and palate are peanuts and milk chocolate, unpleasant and unblended tip of wood, alcohol and a butyric acid... really strange

Rum very typical of solvent like White Spirit and fruit alcohol style grappa. On the palate notes of licorice stick, cedar and smoked meat. The finish is spicy and slightly salty.

Probably released too soon, but shows potential. Needs lot of breathing time to open up. Chocolate and praline notes dominate all the way. Lacks some complexity for me and finish is too short. But interesting nonetheless, just don't pay and expect too much.

Phew, no thanks. Disappointment in the glass. There is not much happening except alcohol with vanilla. Methinks the quality did not matter, the main thing is that you can slap LBI on it.
