Promising nose, nice wood spice, quite mild and complex; also delicious on the tongue, sweet, vanilla, mild, spicy, nice finish, PLV too high

In my opinion, the wine cask brings an unpleasant sour note. Still, 40% ABV is quite sharp and unfortunately also thin at the same time. Otherwise, pretty unremarkable.

An uncomplicated rum that is suitable as a dessert. A little too expensive for the target group it is aimed at. The maturation in wine barrels comes through well, but the 40% vol. weakens the taste a little, which is the case with 90% of all rums with this alcohol strength. The notes of caramel and marzipan are nevertheless very pleasant and persist from the nose to the finish. A good rum to enjoy on the side.

Haven't tasted a Botran in a long time. Here, a typical Ron nose with caramel taking most of the aroma. On the palate, the same. Wood present. Easy alcohol. A slight bitterness probably brought by the white wine cask. A bit too sweet. Not much length. Easy to drink daily for those discovering rum. However, the price does not match the quality of the rum.

Not being a fan of Hispanic rums, I find this one nice. The white wine finish brings structure and an amazing length for a 40% rum. Caramel and the usual nuts on similar rums, as well as dried fruits and a slight bitterness that's not unpleasant, linger in the length.
