A good blend with a sherry finish that leaves its mark without completely overshadowing the Jamaican character. Pleasantly drinkable with an interplay of heavy dry and fresh citrus fruit notes. Beautiful rum in the moderate price segment.

A nice sipper for the price, but I think it's a little watered down. The sherry notes are already clearly recognizable and clearly push the base note into the background. Unfortunately, like all of Navy Island's so far, they can't knock my socks off.

Blind Verkostung: Jamaika war erst ziemlich klar. Das Sherry Finish hat mich aber doch unsicher gemacht. Am Gaumen war ich planlos unterwegs. Das er unter 50% hat war deutlich. Bin der Kombie Hampden mit Sherry Finish grad etwas überdrüssig daher hat es mir hier schnell gereicht. Bis dahin aber eine solide Abfüllung. Großer Dank für die Blind Sample Spende!

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist schon ok, wenn man Sherry-Noten mag. Die sind hier schon deutlich ausgeprägt, überlagern den Hampden aber auch nicht komplett. Am Ende ist mir das aber zu eindimensional. Man muss die Sherry-Hampden-Kombination schon mögen.

In the nose I do like the sherry finish, which adds to the low ester hampden profile without overwhelming it. On the palate the PX is much more prominent adding quite some sweetness to the rum. Hampden + sherry is not my favorite thing in general. However, this is not a bad bottling comparatively. Accessible price and profile wise.

Kurz gelagerte Jamaikaner mit Sherry Finish und ich werden wohl keine Freunde. Aber man muss ihm lassen, dass es da deutlich teureres gibt, was kaum besser schmeckt. Wer also über den niedrigen ABV hinwegsehen kann und auf sherry + 🇯🇲 steht, der könnte hier nen Schnapper machen. Meins ist es eher nicht so.

This is not my cup of tea at all, personally the sherry note is too dominant. Due to the dilution, the Hampden influence doesn't really come into its own either
