#5918 03.11.2025 Enjoying a few samples while relaxing in front of the TV. Nose Fresh, wood, light roasted, light olive, light petrol, light mint, light citrus, anise, faint smoke, faint cinnamon. Palate Oily, fresh, wood, light citrus, petrol, olive, light salt, light nutts, light anise, light floral, faint caramel. Finish Long and warm, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, light anise, light citrus. Empty glass Licorice, light cardamom, light citrus, varnish, light floral. Needs to rest for a while to settle properly. ABV very well integrated.

Tasted blind at the Community x-mas meeting. The Guyana origin was unmistakable. Lots of herbs, licorice, malt, caramel and some pencil shavings on the nose. Many thanks to my Secret Santa for the great sample!

An exciting rum, which I would not estimate so old. Great fresh and fruity nose and nice complex herbs and spices on the palate. Alcohol is super integrated. Definitely tasty and a rum that will still challenge me, since I have not yet deciphered much.

What a beguiling nose... very multi-faceted, intense and fruity.... Excellent!On the palate, the rum spreads creamy oily to all corners of the mouth and fills it with an interplay of woody, herbal, toasty, dried fruit and coffee! This fits and harmonizes !If the finish was a little longer... it would have been easily enough for an "excellent"! But it remains an exception!

Very complex in its depth of aroma and at the same time incredibly round and palatable. Appealing woody notes with spicy and herbal facets meet appropriate fruitiness and floral nuances and, together with the very full mouthfeel, manage to inspire me in the long term.

I liked it much better than the 91 from RA. Alcohol is very well integrated. Overall very herbal, but also a slight sweetness and fruity note. A slightly bitter woody note on the finish. For me, everything fits together much better than with RA.
