Very unspectacular and average for a Belize rum. Primarily classic caramel, woody notes. Then some fruit in the finish but overall quite thin and nothing that particularly stands out.

Time to finish up 1423's "24 days of Christmas". This is the rum from day 19, and I find it to be rather okay. Some coconut in the nose, and I got some tropical fruits and caramel in the notes. A rather short and woody finish

Rum Festival Vienna 20.09.2024 Smooth, solid Belize. The company owner from NL was also at the stand. Very likeable and always interesting to get background knowledge. Sweet - a term often used in the context of the rum festival.

Sample no.19 of the 24 days of rum calendar 2023. Pleasant on the nose with caramel, coconut and the vanilla from the oak barrels. Palate has more of the same but with a light roasted tone of nuts and chocolate.

Der Geruch ist fruchtig, Johannisbeeren oder generell rote Früchte. Man fühlt sich fast an Weingummi erinnert, aber keinesfalls synthetisch, sehr dezent. Zudem Kokosnuss. Auf der Zunge ein bisschen fruchtig und ein wenig Süße, aber insgesamt leider etwas flach, fast wässrig. Der Abgang ist mittellang, Noten von Gewürzen, ein bisschen Schärfe. Alles in allem nichts besonderes, könnte in Cocktails gut sein.

"Here is a little thing going on with some glue/varnish and some nuttiness that evolves from a general green plants being cut on a field smell. Of course in the end, belize can do much better. And in the end also, nobody needs this at this price since better alternatives in the same price range are available..."
