Good rum, dry, pleasant barrel. Fruits, banana, grassy. Develops better after opening the bottle, becomes rounder after 2-3 weeks.

Number 16 from the Tastillery Advent calendar. On the nose, vegetal and floral notes combined with slight woodiness. On the palate, woody, slight vegetal notes, then sharp cinnamon and somewhat biting. I find the alcohol not so well integrated. Finish also very short.

An accessible rum with notes of vanilla, caramel, honey, and ripe fruits. It feels soft and balanced but also quite thin. Not a rum with depth, but an uncomplicated sipper with a fair price-enjoyment ratio.

Very unspectacular and average for a Belize rum. Primarily classic caramel, woody notes. Then some fruit in the finish but overall quite thin and nothing that particularly stands out.

Time to finish up 1423's "24 days of Christmas". This is the rum from day 19, and I find it to be rather okay. Some coconut in the nose, and I got some tropical fruits and caramel in the notes. A rather short and woody finish

Rum Festival Vienna 20.09.2024 Smooth, solid Belize. The company owner from NL was also at the stand. Very likeable and always interesting to get background knowledge. Sweet - a term often used in the context of the rum festival.

Sample no.19 of the 24 days of rum calendar 2023. Pleasant on the nose with caramel, coconut and the vanilla from the oak barrels. Palate has more of the same but with a light roasted tone of nuts and chocolate.

The smell is fruity and sweet. I didn't like the first sip at all because the alcohol taste is too dominant and the finish had an unexpected sharpness (at least for me). At first, it reminded me more of a fruit brandy than a rum. However, with each subsequent sip, the experience became more pleasant. Still, not particularly positive as a first tasting.

Nutty on the nose, hazelnut, slightly chocolatey oatmeal. Quite soft. On the tongue a bit fruity and a little sweet, but overall unfortunately a bit flat, almost watery. The finish is medium length, notes of spices, a bit of sharpness from the alcohol and generally similar to the nose. For my taste a bit boring, the nutty aroma is quite nice.

The Belizean Blue Signature Blend is a pleasant mild rum. It features a full-bodied sweet profile. I can detect tropical fruits with a hint of coconut and vanilla. I first got to know this rum at the Vienna Rum Festival 2024. This time I tasted the Belizean Blue Signature Blend during the online tasting by Rum Snacker Falk.

Here is a little thing going on with some glue/varnish and some nuttiness that evolves from a general green plants being cut on a field smell. Of course in the end, belize can do much better. And in the end also, nobody needs this at this price since better alternatives in the same price range are available...
