Spitzen Abfüllung! War bisher kein besonderer Clarendon Fan. Die Pfirsich-Eistee Note gefällt mir speziell gut. Auch im vergleich mit anderen Abfüllungen schlägt sich dieser Rum äusserst gut! Sehr komplex.

Un nez intense sur les agrumes, mangue et autres fruits exotiques bien murs. Le sucre de canne brûlé ressort également. En bouche, une explosion. Waouh c est intense. Les mêmes marqueurs qu au nez, mais multipliés. En supplement, un boisé assez present et un peu d amertume. Le petit mordant de l alcool et le cote poivré rehaussent le tout encore plus. Belle longueur, on reste avec un moment. Vraiment une petite bombe. Bravo.

Tropische Lagerung, aromatische Komplexität - hier gibt es das komplette Paket. Man muss den Jamaika-Stil mögen, keine Frage, aber die wuchtige Tiefe der 95er Clarendons ist einfach beeindruckend. Das Release überzeugt durch seine Balance, was angesichts der Aromenwucht zwar etwas ungewöhnlich erscheinen mag, im Direktvergleich aber erkennbar wird. Exquisit.

27 Jahre alt und davon 23 Jahre tropisch gereift! Ein 95er EMB! Super gut 😊 Nase: kräftig aber harmonisch, intensiv und wunderbar rund. Eine tolle würzig-fruchtige Aromenwolke strömt aus dem Glas. Alte, getrocknete Blutorange mit süßlicher Zitrone, dazu eine Mischung aus Sauerkirsche, schwarze Johannisbeere, Stachelbeere und mehliger Banane. Eingefasst in altem Zedernholz mit etwa Holzsäure, ganz leicht vinegar und abgerundet mit Sahne Toffee, Ahornsirup und runden Hauch Lakritze. Wow. 91 Gaumen: Wahnsinn. Intensiv, kräftig und auch hier wieder total rund. Da passt alles gut zusammen. Tolle Geschmackskurve: anfangs leicht adstringent und bitter, dann etwas metallisch und salzig, bevor intensiv fruchtig Zitronenschale, Limette, Kumquat und schließlich Aprikose übernehmen. Dabei ist er annehmen holzig und wird hinten zunehmend minziger. Der Alkohol ist toll eingebunden 91 Dieser Rum überzeugt auf ganzer Linie.

I was so lucky to try this one because I didn't get a bottle and now it's kind of expensive. A really good rum with all the Clarendon flavours. The fruit is very light but combined with the light floral note it feels wonderful on the palate. Intense and lightly dry and I love the roasted wood notes. Draws nice curtains and the flavours intensify in the empty glass over time.

Bewertung unter Vorbehalt … war einer der letzten verkosteten Rums nach einem langen Messetag. Aber ich bin mir (fast) sicher, dass das der selbe Rum wie die Tara Abfüllung ist. Müsste man mal side by side testen. Wie alle 1995 EMB grandios gut

Au nez, directement une note franche de pêche glacée accompagnée de mangue et de papaye. Puis un léger voile mentholé. Quelques essences de fleur. Les 27 ans en fût rendent ce dram complexe et satiné. Oranges confites, cannelle, fruits confits, joli cake de Noël. En lui laissant du repos, un aspect sucré apparaît sur du caramel beurré qui tire sur le réglisse fondu. En bouche, c'est dense et condensé. De multiples agrumes (orange, kumquat, citron) définissent un aspect acidulé sur le bonbon tête brûlée. La morsure de l'alcool donne naissance à un menthol très vivace, presque comme sur les TDL 2001. Une grosse feuille de menthe bien fraîche s'écrase sur le palais et dans la gorge. Un peu de colle et d'astringence. Une texture très agréable. Finale longue, où l'on peut chercher avec sa langue des saveurs de vieux copeaux de bois mélangés avec de la menthe, de la réglisse et du camphre. J'adore les vieux Clarendon, celui-ci en est un excellent représentant. Puissant, complexe, évolutif, fruité. Un excellent Jamaïcain low ester.

Krasser EMB. Sehr holzig, floral und mentholig. Sehr elegant und facettenreich, dazu eine leichte Cassis und Pfirsich eistee Note dazu. Sowie etwas Bleistift und Minze. Alkohol extrem gut eingebunden. Definitiv einer der besten 1995er EMB bis dato imho!

erneut ein ausgezeichneter EMB 95! Viele tropische Früchte wie Papaya, Mango, Pfirsich strömen in die Nase. Aus der Erinnerung heraus würde ich sagen, der FRC ist noch eine Spur ‚mentholig-metallischer’ unterwegs als der RA und der RC, beiden aber absolut ebenbürtig.

Noch so ein leckerer EMB. Unverkennbar, im Vergleich zu den anderen mitverkosteten Clarendons hat der hier etwas mehr Minze. Erstaunlicherweise immer noch verfügbar und ich musste zuschlagen.

Also a classy representative of the 1995 EMB vintage. Compared to the Velier 2010 better integrated alcohol, more wood and a somewhat more pronounced menthol note, which is not disturbing. Somewhat rounder, but less oily in consistency than the Rumclub 1995, but overall on a comparable level. May many more bottlings from this vintage follow!
