Licorera Cihuatán Folklore is a unique rum from El Salvador, designed as a tribute to the rich local culture. This rum stands out with its woody and smoky notes, complemented by cocoa and coffee. The nose is filled with caramel, vanilla, and a smoky undertone, with hints of coffee and wood. The palate is complex, featuring prominent tones of cocoa, coffee, and spices, enriched by a light fruitiness reminiscent of grapes. The finish is harmonious, warm, and pleasantly smoky.

In the nose I mainly feel the sweetness of caramel and wood, also in the taste. For a 17-year-old rum, I expected greater integration into the taste. Honestly, I think this rum will definitely find its audience. If you try the lower ranges, it will be fine.
