I actually like this rum. Lots of wood, toffe, vanilla, some sweetness that hides behind the wood... Recently opened another bottle I have in stock with my old friends - that alone if worth a few points extra!

07.03.2019 Enjoying some samples at home. Colour Very dark in colour. Nose Light, wood, spice, light orange, light caramel, faint smoke, light chocolate. Palate Round, light, wood, spice, faint smoke, light orange, light citrus, light chocolate. Finish Medium long, wood, light chocolate, dried fruit, light citrus, light chocolate.

Blindverkostung: eine leichte, typisch spanische Nase: vieeeeel Karamell/Toffee, Vanille, Leder und eine leichte Süße kommt einem nur so entgegengesprungen. Mit etwas Wasser kommt noch ein wenig Rauch dazu und Holzeinflüsse werden klar erkennbar. Am Gaumen ist die Süße aus der Nase direkt präsent und auch hier wieder Spanien, Spanien, Spanien mit ungefähr 55-56%. Der Alkohol sticht etwas, aber mit Standzeit oder ein paar Tropfen Wasser um einiges besser trinkbar. Der Abgang ist länger als man es von einem Spanier erwartet. Mit ein paar Tropfen Wasser finde ich den Rum eigentlich auch ganz angenehm als Sipper am Abend mit ein paar Freunden als Gesellschaft ganz okay. Venezuela ist für mich hier fast sicher und ich könnte mir hier gut den Kintra The Rum Collection C.A.C.D. Venezuela 13yo 2004 mit 53,8% vorstellen. 78 Punkte
