Nachtvekostung des TECC/TECA Community Tastings by Mirco. Heute: die drei ungelagerten. Wie bei den beiden Marks zu erwarten sind die Rums nicht gnz unähnlich und alle zu erwartenden Marker sind da 😉 Nase: Rum 1 am meisten Gebäck/Speck, Rum 2 fruchtiger, Rum 3 am vergorendsten. Favortit: Rum 1, dann 3 dann 2 Gaumen: Rum 1 am wärmsten und dicksten, Rum 2 mehr Steinfrucht, Rum 3 sehr estrig. Hier gilt für meinen Geschmack 1> 2 > 3 Gesamt kommt für mich 1 klar am besten weg, dann 3 und 2 am Ende – aber ohne viel Abstand. Alle lecker. Auflösung: Rum1 = rx13569 SBS Origins TECA Rum 2 = rx13378 SBS Origins TECC Rum 3 = rx12601 Warehouse#1 TECA

#4041 They just keep coming those nice whites. Again a nice and fruity rum with a light sour note in the profile. Very fresh with some metallic and esters. I love that it has a smoky not in there. Price to quality is very good in my mind.

It’s a brutal powerhouse, a war horse. Used it mostly in little quantities for making tiki drinks. But to really finish it: a mojito with the last 6cl of the bottle 🫡🤯

Mircos Blind-Tasting TECA/TECC Nr.3: Der 3te unaged.. und auch dieser eignet sich wunderbar als Mixer. Er ist etwas kräftiger als der SBS, was ihm am Gaumen aber gut steht. Die Aromen erscheinen dadurch klarer und sind präsenter.

Blind verkostet im Rahmen des Community Tastings Long Pond TECA/TECC: Im Vergleich mit dem 1423 TECC und TECA nehme ich hier deutlich mehr fruchtige Noten wahr. Wirkt etwas runder, aber für mich auch in erster Linie ein Mixer.

A rum with a very brutal olfactory approach, strong phenolic notes emerge, on esters, nail polish extremely present, solvents or glue, but also medicinal notes, camphor and fermented notes. There are metallic aromas of copper, chemicals and synthetics. Behind this funky bulwark lie exotic fruits (banana, pineapple) as well as olives and lightly smoky, spicy notes. An extreme combination that's sure to open up the nostrils. The attack on the palate is particularly strong. The metallic, olive and ripe fruit notes are still present, but the whole is not all that harmonious. In fact, the integration of the alcohol is rather poor, as the full power of the alcohol is felt. The profile is rather spicy, synthetic and funky, but aggressive and unbalanced. The finish is rather short, with leather, smoky and dark aromas taking over. The funky, fruity notes take a back seat, while olive and metal come back to the fore. A rather unusual profile lacking length and finesse, but one that will stand out more in mixology.

A TECA frame with different markers in addition to what we already know. It is obviously in a first time the overripe tropical fruits that I will mention (Pineapple / Mango / Banana) all roasted or even smoked with very pronounced empyreumatic notes (Copper / Rubber / Metal).the spices that I find on all the Jam white high esters are well there (Cinnamon / Clove / Nutmeg) accompanied by a certain minerality with a little fresh / vegetal side (Olive in brine / Hay / Lemon / Lime)Where it's interesting is a gourmet note that comes in the middle of the mouth (Buttery / Honey / Burnt brown sugar).it's a very powerful and aromatic juice but very well executed and easy to drink, for what it's set of course.it's very good
