Very mild on the nose ... DOK still good but not as brachial as some other Oloroso finish nicely integrated and not overlaid .On the palate similar picture fruit glue and tangy in the mouth but everything just a little smoother ...PLV again super !!!

... Hampden, the legendary Jamaican distillery that besides rum also produces alcohol for perfumes. In all rums from this distillery, you can smell wild esters, after which your whole body soaks up the scent of yellow tropical fruits - mango, papaya, pineapple, peach. One of the rums you "must try before you die".

Makes really fun! Dilution is well chosen, thereby quite "mild"-for some DOK lovers perhaps even too thin. Oloroso aging is not too dominant.

A Hampden that I enjoyed! A nose that is obviously very typical of DOK, yet with a very pleasant roundness brought by the oloroso on the palate! A young rum but very interesting to drink as it is, provided you appreciate the notes of glue and solvents :)
