Most helpful positive review
This is really a good daily sipper, especially for argicole lovers. Nose: It’s start with super delicious smells! Like a fresh agricole mixed with a nice fruit basket (blum, raisin, pineapple, cherry) with a mint leaf on the top: Mouth: It’s more unspectacular and light/soft than expected, but well enjoyable. Finish: Medium long and dry with lovely agricole and lot of barrel notes with honey.

Second tasting: after about an hour in the glass develop aromas of buckwheat honey, I like better than the first time ( 2). Nose: first I perceive typical Agricole aromas and walnut. Then spices wood and then dried fruit.Seeeevery mild, alcoholic sharpness is practically absent.Palate: the rum seems watery in the mouth at the beginning. But that changes surprisingly: the flavors take over and then the alcohol is also feltAftertaste: it remains mainly Agricole notes hang.From Gardelfass I notice nothing, but also do not know what I have to look for. Possibly the barrel is responsible for the toasty notes.

Nice Agricole from the Rumclub. On the nose we have of course Agricole, as well as sugarcane and various fruits. On the palate, alongside the Agricole, there is some fruit again, as well as herbs and especially mint.

Surprisingly sweet and nicely fruity Agricole. Very tasty and round. Horny with the gardel finish which brings the nice cola and caramel note.... Could only have a little more %.

Surprisingly complex for its low alcohol content. A rather dry Agricole with few fruity notes. Barrel comes through, but I can't really do anything with it. The finish is unfortunately very short

A strange profile for this agricultural, very woody on the nose but also very fruity. It seems light and airy. On the palate, however, it's quite the opposite. Big wood, tobacco, spicy black tea. A slight fruity sensation at the back of the mouth, but above all these green, earthy notes. Too bad it doesn't stay on the palate very long. Nice. Edict: earthy but greedy. Vanilla. Rather pleasant. I'm raising my rating.

Despite the low ABV, the nose is quite intense and full. The aging in the Gardel cask makes it special. Because of this, I initially get an old wood note, somewhat dusty. Then heavy, sweet and slightly musty fruit notes come through. Candied cherry and red apple, plus raisin and some blackberry. At the back clearly sweet towards cotton candy, followed by delicate cigar tobacco and a hint of mint and maybe some chocolate. Palate: surprisingly intense for just under 42%. Grassy-green agricole notes are immediately there. Added to this is slightly bitter wood and some tobacco and lovage. The finish again the grassy sugar cane. Surprisingly good, especially since it is so "weak on the chest"; although somewhat one-dimensional on the palate.

A well made Agricole, that I had trouble having fun with. It is either hit or miss with aged Agricoles for me, it seems and I was either not in the mood for this one, or it just didbwork for me. It is solid, however.

Wow, the nose is really great. Initially lots of fruit (pear and raisin), typical agricole vegetal smell, partly towards hay. Then fresh wood, almost even a bit musty and a spice I can't quite identify right now. On the palate, no sweetness at all and hardly any fruitiness compared to the nose. Fresh mint, vegetal and a noticeable cask influence without being too bitter. The finish could be a bit longer and the consistency is a bit thin. Otherwise, an excellent rum.

Today I received the bottle and just had to taste it right away. Nice fruity Agricole with the typical notes. It is very round and balanced. If I had to criticize something, it might be the slightly watery impression. A few more percent probably wouldn't have hurt. Nevertheless, it's a great rum for an affordable price.

Despite the low ABV, it does not lack intensity in flavor. The Gardel barrel is clearly present here and harmonizes very well with the previously 4 years tropically stored Agricole from Martinique.

Exzellenter Agricole und das Gardel-Finish passt perfekt hinzu. Schöne Pflaumennoten und tolle Minzigkeit.Richtig schöner Sipper. Aus meiner Sicht eine absolute Kaufempfehlung dür eine Flasche. Das Beste finde ich einfach das dieser srum eine deutliche Abwechslung zu anderen Rums darstellt.

Delicious and surprisingly intense Agricole! Despite the rather low alcohol content, the nose surprises me with its intensity. Clearly Agricole, with grassy-floral notes and hints of sweet sugarcane. Behind it, almost as an undertone, lies a dark heaviness that vaguely reminds me (don't stone me!) of old Demeraras. So the Gardel cask probably makes itself felt here and gives the rum at least in the nose a clear depth. Also on the palate, initially quite intense and clearly Agricole, but again with bitter and musty notes that pleasantly contribute to the taste. In the finish, these dominate and evoke associations with tobacco and dark chocolate. Overall a nice rum that I like. As a confessed anti-fan of finishes, I have to tip my hat here!

I bought one of these at the Rum Regatta in Flensburg after tasting a sample. At the price tag this is a very good buy actually. This rum needs to rest for 15 minutes to release its full potential. The nose is very fruity as well as the typical Agricole note trailed by roasted wood, spices and sugarcane. The palate is typical Agricole and warm with lots of fruit, wood, tannins, spices and nuts trailed by herbal and vegetal notes. The finish is medium to long with wood, fruits, tobacco and tea.

A real sniff-agricole! The smell delights me even after repeated sniffing with its mix of tropical fruit notes, fine oak with a thin polish layer and hints of an afternoon snack consisting of nut pastries and black tea with herbs. In the mouth this is continued just as nicely, although due to the low alcohol strength a somewhat thin mouthfeel sets in, resulting in a tasty but unfortunately a bit short finish.

Très très beau nez, on est en Martinique. Le boisé très présent mais très fin et gourmand. Ça donne vraiment envie d'y plonger. En bouche ça confirme cette impression et du coup la gourmandise du boisé est un peu trop présente et le rhum manque un peu de complexité. Au final, le rhum est très bon et cette qualité à ce prix la est à saluer.

Great value for money and a good sipping rum with a nice finish. I'm almost at the end of the bottle now and kept reaching for it again and again. ABV a bit low but with really great taste. The rest goes into the Infinity Bottle...

Really good easy sipper! The nose is extremely good and tends towards Gardel. Well-balanced, round Agricole on the palate. A little thin in the middle section. Long finish, again dominated by the Gardel cask with slightly bitter notes. Top value for money!

In just almost five years, this rum has absorbed a lot of flavor and reached a nice roundness even though the ABV at 41.6% is quite low, but in my opinion, it doesn't really harm the rum. The value for money for this rum was really exceptionally good. At first you notice nice round Agricole notes, but then the Gardel cask takes over and brings nice dark molasses notes to the rum. On the nose, the Agricole dominates, but you can already suspect that more is coming.

My Gardel experience is limited to one bottling so far, but I think I can still taste the influence of the finish here. I usually leave all bottles with around 40%, but I bought this one and haven't regretted it. Thumbs up 👍

The nose and finish are really great, in between it could benefit from a slightly higher ABV. Nevertheless a great drop but more like a uncomplicated daily companion (Okok, every second day) and so far the only one I bought a second of bottle within this category. Maybe I will play a little bit with my remaining bottle to boost the palate a bit.
