One of my best rum
Review by Jordan Signor
Probably a Savanna designed to have its own identity, complete and complex, distant from the old HERR. With distinct notes of gouache and plasticine, a nice buttery mouthfeel, but also loads of medicinal notes. A nice sipper, a game-changer compared to more tamed or noble Savanna, funkier in a delighting way.

Very herbaceous Agricole.

A rum tasted at the Rum and Gin Festival in Lucerne in 2023 and 2024. A very vegetal, floral nose with green olive, yellow fruit and ivy. The palate is full of aromas, with lots of green olive and all kinds of herbs and fruit. The finish is quite long, with vegetal aromas, fresh tobacco, cedar wood and, above all, vanilla bean.

It's like sucking on a piece of tahitian vanilla. In itself, everything absorbs vanilla that has been in a wooden barrel, but the aroma then presents itself as in other vanilla-containing foods - you can taste it somehow, but it's something else - this one tastes like you're really biting into such a fresh, juicy vanilla pod, otherwise there's maybe some peach and leather, all in all a really nice rum and the Agricole also comes through very well, but the price is a bit bold ... but you can give it a try 😂🤪 .... and the trend for the prices of further releases continues to go up nicely after a year .... .... Somehow it's getting better and better, especially now that I've been able to try more Savanna for comparison. I still think the price is stupid, but for me this is one of the good Savannas... and you can also get a damn cool Manhattan twist with it and now I've had to adjust it upwards a bit, which I wasn't expecting.

An interesting rum that tastes almost exactly like it smells. Very spice, herb and flower dominant with salty seawater and olive brine to bring it to the next level. Berrymix (specifically blackberry) and light woody notes bring some welcoming sweetness to tame all of the above. At the very end earthy camphor kicks it into second gear and leads to a very tasty cooling finish. Lovely. Unfortunately the price is too high for a spirit this young -for my liking-.

Not much to say, if you like Savanna, this for you. But don’t expect any spectacular fireworks. What surprised me was the really good integrated alcohol. No need to water it down at all.

Un rhum très intéressant et très complexes. C’est un rhum puissant avec des arômes de fruits et une finale relativement longue et une forte impression de vanille. Bouteille goûtée à Crams-Montana avec des amis

Pretty good Savanna rum, very fresh and fruity with nice spices and a hint of chocolate. The flavours get even more clear in the empty glass after a while. I do love the smoky finish mixed with some leather. Price to quality is OK.

The flavor is soft and at the same time spicy, the palate shows its lively side and finishes with notes of fresh sugar cane.

A good Agricole with a lot of glue, somewhat unbalanced at the end, which makes it interesting. But: The price is completely exaggerated for a young rum, which brings us to the label. For me, a misleading declaration, since it is implied here that it is a 1992 vintage.

"Impressionnant, on suce un bon morceau de bois relevé de quelques épices ! Par contre, c'est très cher pour ce que c'est. En resume, mes notes de degutation : Au nez : Herbacé, Végétal, Raisins, Vanillé En bouche : Boisé, Végétal, Herbacé, Poivré, Tabac, Camphre La finale plutot orientee vers : Végétal, Tabac, Chêne"

"Hmm, this is still a good rum, but besides the weird aging description this is not outstanding to celebrate. Savanna seems to bring out a rum to celebrate any special occasion. In 5 years there will be nothing left but a special edition for Mondays"
