Most tasters land in the same place: a young Clarendon EMB that punches above its 7 years. Tropical fruit and esters hit first, then smoky wood, leather and a spicy, roasted edge. One member called it "funky yet sweet Jamaican," and the cask-strength alcohol is mostly well integrated. The catch a few note: the finish runs short, and a couple find it a touch angular and hot late.

My youngest Clarendon in the glass so far. But I have to say that I like it very much. I find it quite drinkable. The aromas come through very nicely here. Overall, I think the alcohol is also well integrated, which makes it a nice sipper.

Now we're getting there. I could get the nose as soon as the glass was poured. Typical Jamaica fruity and esters right in your face. Love the spices and smoky wood binding everything together. Nice and warm finish though kind of short 😊

Fruity EMB nose that falls off quite slightly on the palate compared to older counterparts. In the finish, he has tasty neat power.

Nice EMB, very young but still very complex with the typical markers for this brand. Definitely needs some time in the glass to unfold. The alcohol is very well integrated here. Great bottling.

The nose did not please me at all. The palate is nicer, Jamaican. The whole head a little too weak.

Jamaica without Hampden tasting: A really easy sipper to my taste. The alcohol on the nose is probably still a bit strong, but with some breathing it’s definitely good. Otherwise, the typical Clarendon aromas that harmonize well.

Magnificent Clarendon, almost playing in the league of some Guyanese. Very dark side, roasted, but very indulgent. Beautiful bottle.

Intense Jamaica, with the typical Worthy Park notes of banana and esters. Quite intense and alcoholic at the back. Unfortunately quite angular and unrounded because of that, despite the solid base. Therefore more points are denied.

Nice rum, in the nose esters some very light nail polish and tropical fruits. On the palate quite true to the nose some funk and leather on the palate followed by tropical fruits not really any nail polish. Medium finish i wish it was a bit longer and more complex but maybe that is due to the age.
