On the nose pungent and citrusy, esters and ripe.On the palate floral, tropical fruit and citrus, esters and ripe are also perceived, a fair depth and personality, special and to be tried

8:On the nose this fairly beautiful rum is very floral, integrated with notes of toasted vanilla, oak, tropical fruits:banana, pineapple, creamy butterscotch, soft caramel, a touch vanilla and sweet marzipan. 7,5:On the palate it is rich, with tanins of toasted oak, notes of vanilla, juicy fruits, again butterscotch, underneath bursts roasted black pepper, nutmeg, Bajan caramel, butterscotch and delicious poached fruits. 7,3:The finish is long lasting with tanins of toasted oak and peppery. All is well rounded and smooth as summer sunshine running through the blue skies...

A blend also made from pot and column still from molasses and sugar cane juice with a foursquare addition, similar to the PTI Lakaz, but without the port wine influence. This is noticeable because it is less expressive. Still a great nose, but too thin in the mouth.
Review by Air-one
A pleasant, easy-tasting rum. Caramelized roundness enhanced by a hint of fruitiness where esters appear timidly. A good rum presented in a beautiful bottle that will appeal to novices and connoisseurs alike.

Generally speaking, this range smacks too much of Foursquare. It's a pity, because it loses its identity and interest.

Petite découverte sympa un mélange un peu épicé entre le pur jus et la mélasse. Correct et plaisant de temps en temps mais je n'achèterai pas une bouteille.

Bottle Market Bremen October 2024. This Takamaka is nothing like the previous one. For me, it's predominantly solvent on the nose, as well as a little coconut. Then mainly burnt sugar and some bourbon on the palate.
Review by Surbiton Man
Sweet rounded hint of roasted pineapple with brown sugar. Light white oak on the nose and as a backdrop to the flavour. Slight shoe polish on the early evolution developing into a soft butterscotch with black pepper.
Review by RumBarfly
Tropical, baked fruits and spice on the nose with warm sweetness that lingers. The palate enjoys soft sweetness and baked spices that evolve smoothly into a warm bourbon-esq spiciness. A smooth finish that is accented with citrus peel and burnt crème brûlée.
