Le Galion The Nectar Of The Daily Drams Grand Arôme 2021
Most tasters walk away impressed, even the ones who admit it's a lot to handle. This is unaged Grand Arôme at full strength: fresh-cut grass, green banana, olive and a real hit of brine on the palate. Several reviewers reach for a daiquiri rather than sipping it neat, and a couple find the salty streak too much. Loud, green and a little wild.

How does Le Galion The Nectar Of The Daily Drams Grand Arôme 2021 taste?
From community reviews · summarized with AI
Wild, green and briny unaged Martinique Well-liked here, with a caveat: the vegetal-and-brine intensity wins most tasters over, but the salinity tips into too much for a few — and the finish stays short.

#4712 28.04.2024 Unaged tasting at home while relaxing in between the sets with Hulk on bluray 😊 Nose Intense, fresh, vegetal, light grass, lime, banana, light sugarcane, spice. Palate Intense, warm, medium spicy, fruits, lime, vegetal, light floral. Finish Very long and warm, fruity, light lime, light herbal, light sugarcane. The empty glass has some smoke, faint chocolate and minerals.

A rum tasted at Whisky Live in Paris in 2024. A lively nose with esters, sugarcane, vegetal and fruits. The fruits are very present on the palate accompanied by a vegetal and fermented side. The finish is short with a spicy note. Not a rum to drink neat but rather an ideal rum for Daiquiris, a neighbor at the stand whispered to me.

Certainly a matter of taste, but I think the white Galions are great!

Very vegetal and salty nose. The mouth is very salty. Brine, olive. Still banana.a typical Galion.I have trouble with this rum. I find it interesting but this very salty side makes it a bit nauseating.

A good rum from the Baie du Galion. Exotic fruit on the nose and palate.

Very round and sweet, a real candy, strawberry tagada and harlequin candy.

Convinces me unfortunately neither pure nor in the daiquiri particularly. Not bad but there are better le Galions.

Vintage 2021. I rate 8.5 out of 10, excellent rum, ranking high even among my more than 1,300 ratings.

A galleon of fruit and sugar cane. Olive and brine but not as pronounced as I expected. Alcohol is present but in a way I like. Lots of specific aromas are present too. Green aromas (peppers, green banana, herbs, artichoke...) and tertiary aromas (fermented, humus, smoke...). Reminds me of a Martini Pairs well with smoked meat (not too salty).

The nose is rather powerful, with vegetal and herbaceous notes ... all of which are wrapped up in the atmosphere of a pharmacist's queue. Blind, we'd have gone to Savanna... On the palate, it's explosive and complex, going off in all directions like fireworks. We're really into something experimental and uncontrolled! It's vegetal, freshly cut grass in the morning, varnish... The finish is as intriguing as ever, like cough syrup, but with a more disturbing salinity. Personally, I wasn't won over by this rum, but some even named it the best rum of the evening (in terms of value for money). But one thing's for sure: it doesn't leave you indifferent...

Very good with BBQ sauce (like lontan) but also creamy and red fruits (I had that on a Kilik from Australia)

Very good for white rum
