A sample that I have been looking for for a long time. Grazie Mille!!! 😀 I let it breathe for 2 hours, smelling it every time is an experience. Beautiful lacquer and solvent, caramel and macaroons, but restrained by Neisson standards. Plenty of spices. Very powerful, yet round and the 58% is perfectly integrated. It is very complex. Sniff deep in, peripheral, let it rest, swirl, something new every time.😀 Woody in the mouth (but not too much), spicy, caramel and macaroons. Long finish. The Neisson DNA is recognizable, but this one is not fine and elegant, but heavy and spicy. Absolutely 🔝, I like it better than its brother from 2005.

On trouve dès le nez une délicieuse gourmandise avec de très belles notes de chocolat, de cannelle et de fruits secs. La bouche est dans le prolongement du nez avec des arômes très similaires. Sa texture est crémeuse ce qui rend la dégustation vraiment très plaisante. La finale est longue avec un léger caramel et un boisé épicé. Ce Neisson est une grande réussite ! Un rhum dessert dont l'équilibre est parfait : on voudrait y revenir encore et encore !

An unexpectedly more toasty and spicy neisson! It also has a nice peppery note that accompanies the whole tasting! And with the usual and impeccable respect for one's sugar cane! Neisson is a guarantee!

Really, really great agricole single cask! Crazy Nutella nose, plus black pepper and roasted Piedmont hazelnuts, a bit of citrus zest, cinnamon, clove, allspice, and floral notes in the finish. Awesome?

👃 Focused on baked cinnamon, brown sugar, subtle woodiness, and bitter chocolate. Then comes a very enjoyable combination of dried bananas with cinnamon. Some dried and candied fruits on the second nose, notes of well-candied apricots. 😋 The same aromas are found under the influence of roasting. Almost like an old Bally, but more refined. It's pleasant and dark at the same time. There are even notes of model glue. On the retronasal, spices (cinnamon, pepper, clove) and coffee beans. With aeration and at the bottom of the glass, a bourbon vanilla cooked caramel appears. ⛳ Sweet, roasted, the oak expresses itself long on cooking spices, cooked vanilla, cinnamon, black pepper. The grassy and fresh sugarcane prolongs the pleasure. An ultimately atypical dram that differs from the Neisson already tasted.

Very nice Neisson profile selected by Velier. The nose is charming, carried by pastry sweetness on caramel, biscuit, toffee and brown sugar. The wood and spices give a very pleasant noble side. If the dried fruits are very discreet, the vegetal part stands out more. A dry and well-structured profile. On the palate, we find a creamy rum, full of flavors and indulgence. A multitude of spices, ranging from pepper to cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and cloves reveal themselves and perfume the palate. Then wood, cocoa, leather and tobacco follow before giving way to citrus as well as dried and shell fruits. There is also a hint of vegetal greenery and sugar cane. The alcohol is very well integrated. A round, gourmand and complex profile. The finish lingers on spices, wood, leather, coffee and bitter cocoa. Earthy notes stand out more but are not overwhelming. Dried fruits and citrus remain present alongside nuts for a homogeneous and varied whole. If it is a bit drier on the nose, this Neisson stands out from the 2005 Vintage by greater gourmandise on the palate. A superb Neisson that deserves its place as a flagship of agricole rums.

A nose where wood and cigar separate in a grilled chocolate. Hazelnut and fruits. By the way, the fruits, sometimes citrus, sometimes cherry, sometimes green mango, even quince. Wow, there's a lot going on. The palate is powerful, lively. The wood is definitely there with a grilled chocolate, sensation of candied ginger. A fairly long finish with a sweet and spicy taste.

A nice Neisson but the lower rating is due to the value for money, as well as the taste. It's very good without being exceptional, it lacks a bit of fruit on the palate with almost only wood and spices. I sincerely think the ratings are biased by the combo of hype and legendary distillery.

So far my favorite neisson. To drink and drink again. Silky nose, from the cask. A bit of spice, some citrus zest. Bitter cocoa. Starts with spices (clove?) then explosion: much more fruit than on the nose. Smooth, with some chewiness. Long finish on the cask with menthol. Very very good.

On the nose fragrant with a touch of spices and a hint of wood, dried fruit, toasted almonds, all confirmed on the palate. Medium finish, Neisson has given much better.
