Der Bauerngaumen sagt: Typischer Sancti Spíritus. Floral, frisch, grüne Früchte, am ehesten Apfel. Alkohol recht gut integriert. Im Abgang etwas bitter. Würde trotzdem auf eine nicht allzu lange Lagerung tippen, vielleicht 10-12 Jahre. Mundet dem Bauerngaumen. 😉 Update 2025-03-11: Muss den Rum nach gestriger erneuter Verkostung doch ordentlich abwerten (was 2 weitere Erfahrungs-Sammel-Jahre doch so ausmachen können ...). Der Rum schmeckt anfangs zwar erfrischend-exotisch und alkoholisch-zupackend, zerfällt mit zunehmender Standzeit aber geradezu und wird dann (auch unter Zugabe von Wasser) kaum noch genießbar, ein sprittiges Etwas. Das ist eine erstaunliche Entwicklung, die ich noch nie so angetroffen habe. Der Rum ist handwerklich einfach schlecht gemacht, die Destillation ist offenbar nicht ganz sauber abgelaufen. Neues Fazit: Wenn man ihn für 45 EUR als interessantes Experiment ansieht und ihn schnell trinkt, sind 72 Punkte (10 weniger als bei der Verkostung vor 2 Jahren) noch zu rechtfertigen.

Wohl ein Sancti Spiritus. Für mich wieder mal nur ein weiterer sprittiger Cubaner ohne Wiedererkennungswert für die Cola.

Erstmal vielen Dank an Gunnar für das Blind-Sample. Da es mein erster Rum aus der Destille war, hab ich mich hier echt schwer getan. Die Nase fand ich ganz einladend und erinnerte leicht an Savanna mit der Kaugummi-Note. Am Gaumen dann aber irgendwie nichtssagend, relativ scharf und stechend ohne was rüberzubringen. Schön mal was Neues im Glas gehabt zu haben, aber Fan der Destille werde ich dadurch jetzt nicht unbedingt.
