Sehr schöner "all day sipping" Rum 🥂 super floral, fruchtig und klar der Sherry ist sehr dominant aber eben auch sehr harmonisch und macht das ganze eben auch gefährlich süffig!🤤 nur der Alkohol könnte minimal besser integriert sein...

24.09.2022 Going through samples at home. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Wood, floral, fruits, light plum, spice, faint smoke, light caramel. Palate Round, oily, wood, dried fruit, faint roasted, light citrus, light caramel, medium dry, light marzipan, light floral. Finish Medium long, wood, faint smoke, floral, light plum, dried fruit.

Extrem süffig, rund, süss, dazu etwas Rauch - das Sherry-Finish bringt nochmal richtig viel Spannung rein. Toller Australier!

Nose is dominated by the sherry finish, showing dominat notes of red fruits anlongside floral notes. While interesting, this feels not 100% balanced to me and overall a touch to peppery. On the palate the finish again is very dominat. All in all this is very easy going and rather approchable. Still a little too much alcohol present here, but by no means overwhelming.

Butterblume, Feige, Traube und Kekse an der Nase…das PX Sherry-Finish gefällt mir hier irgendwie nicht so gut, es unterdrückt die frischeren (Zitrus-)Fruchtnoten, wie sie beispielsweise beim Velier Beenleigh 2015 oder dem RumClub Ed 20 schön durchkommen. Am Gaumen Karamell und röstige Noten. Kein Komplexitätsmonster.

Australien ok, aber Sherry schreckt mich erst mal ab. Das brauche ich einfach nicht mehr beim Rum. Egalisiert einfach den Grundstoff. Aber mal sehen… Nase: intensiv und kräftig. Zu Beginn ordentlich süßlich-rauchig mit viel alter, kalter Zigarre. Dahinter eine Fruchtmischung aus Kirsche, Brombeere und ganz leicht Papaya. Der Sherry-Ausbau übernimmt hier mächtig das Ruder. Geschwefelte Rosine komplettiert diesen Eindruck. Hinten kräftige malzig-karamellige Süße und Hefeteig. Trotz meiner Abneigung von Sherry, objektiv eine schöne Nase. 80 Gaumen: was ist das? Hat der Dosage? Oder war da noch ein ordentlicher Schluck Sherry drin im Fass? Total süß! Dattelsirup pur. Dazu rauchig und Sherry. Vielleicht noch Feige. Der Australia ist da kaum noch zu schmecken. Das ist mir zu plump. Habe ich aber auch irgendwie erwartet. 50 Gut trinkbar als Süßrum ist er allerdings schon…

Nez très sympa, mais pour moi, totalement gâché par la bouche. A mon avis, trop de temps passé dans le fut de sherry. Une sucrosité qui colle à la bouche, tellement elle est présente. Dommage, pour moi la finition a tué le rhum d origine.
