Famille Ricci Nicaragua
Most tasters land on the same word: gourmand. This is dessert in a glass — dark chocolate, melted caramel, espresso and vanilla pastries, one member describing it as drinking spun sugar. The upside is it's a Nicaragua bottled without the usual dosage tricks. The catch, and several agree, is the 60.4% alcohol never quite settles in — it stays hot and a touch prickly. Medium finish, fairly simple arcs.</snapshot> <parameter name="review">A gourmand, cask-strength Nicaragua people enjoy for its chocolate-caramel side, but more than one taster flags the alcohol as poorly integrated and the flavors as simple.

#4498 24.11.2023 The price is a bit steep compared to what you get (in my mind). Lightly fruity with nice pastries and nutty notes. The palate is fresh and has nice cherry notes. The finish is medium long, lightly dry with nice spices. The empty glass has some vanilla and light caramel.
