Trying the gift set from Vom Fass today. This spiced rum from Panama is even okay. On the nose we have lots of vanilla and caramel, also quite spicy. On the palate also vanilla, relatively sweet and somehow tastes like cookie dough.

Again, “Vom Fass” only provides sparse info, so many details remain in the dark. I find this one extremely sweet (100% sweetened), thin, weak... something for the “sweet tooth” category.

Nose: (for me) overflowing sweetness with vanilla, creme brulee and cinnamon. Reminds me of Christmas. Palate: like the nose, although the ABV makes it at least pleasantly delivered. Finish: short and sweet. Conclusion: Spiced rum is not my thing. But certainly a rum that finds favor through its sweetness and Christmas orientation.
