I like Riise Rum, at least all I've tried so far. But I always wonder if you can call Riise Rum a "real" rum, since it's almost always sweet and sometimes artificial in taste, at least with the "cheaper" bottles. But I like sweet rum and thus Riise Rum. Some Riise have fruity taste and others go towards chocolate/caramel/toffee. This one is a mix. Peach taste mixed with toffee taste. Interesting, but it doesn't fully convince me. Good but not very good. Also a bit sharp and spicy, which I like less. Still a good rum but for me not one of the top Riise Rums.

Edit: It is and remains a liqueur and not a rum. In winter, however, it is drinkable as a sugar substitute Corrected downwards so that Riise is no longer recommended to me in the app for the deal of the day

01.12.2025 Day 1 of my Christmas Calendar. Still find it very sweet but I like the mix of christmas spices in the profile. Less sugar and a higher ABV would have benefitted a lot. ----------- Another super sweet rum that I would consider a dessert rum at most. Far too sweet for me....... Price to quality is kind of OK.

Due to the complexity, I find different fine notes at every tasting. Sometimes rather sweet and other times a fine bitterness sneaks in... always exciting. But always wintery cinnamon, vanilla, and fruit notes that are very changeable.

Christmas in your mouth. Essentially classical riise with another additional ton of spices, this time a Christmas selection. It reminds me a Chairman's Reserve spiced edition, only I would go with Chairman's all the time. Not to mention I could afford almost 3 bottles in price of 1 riise.

A fruity-sweet rum with a hint of Christmas spices. Caramel and chocolate are also present. Unfortunately, it smells a bit artificial. By rum standards, it has too much sugar and is therefore too sweet. Totally fine as a liqueur.

This rum presents itself very sweet and fruit-forward, accompanied by wintery-spicy accents. For a rum, the high sugar content is exaggerated, but it works perfectly as a liqueur. For me still 10/10 in winter.

Nose: Candied cherry, sugared almond. Taste: Orange, sugared almond. Finish: Burnt caramel, almond. On the sweet side, but one of the better Riise's that I've tried.

This cannot pass for rum. If you're looking for a wintery spiced schnapps, you might find it here, but everyone else should steer clear. In the mouth, I find this spirit pretty close to disgusting :-(

Part of the A.H. Riise Christmas calendar from 2020. This was the first tasting of december. Lots of sweetness in the nose, with overwhelming vanilla. In the notes I got some herbal sensation and a bit of fruit, with a spicy end

Smells already Christmassy like gingerbread, spices and sweetness. Just like the taste, with notes of nougat. Unfortunately somewhat artificial on the tongue and incredibly sweetened. More Christmas liqueur than rum.
