great sipping Hampden. nice complexity... When it comes to 92 Hampdens, this is one of the few that I like. But it doesn't come close to the Rum Nation or the CDI. Overall a little too herbal and sour.

Dégustation CoR, Rum Club Switzerland. Un nez expressif, fruité avec des esters doux et d’une puissance modérée. De l’ananas sur-mûr, d’autres fruits tropicaux, du thé noir et du chêne. La bouche est très belle, suave, riche et expressive. Beaucoup de fruits mais en équilibre avec les autres arômes, bois, thé noir et vanille. La finale est sur les fruits, les fruits tropicaux, puis le bois et enfin le thé noir. Un très beau rhum, tout à fait équilibré, riche en arômes et très buvable, une très belle réussite !

Excellent Hampden! Little acidity and great herbal spice. Has more wood than the sister cask (Ed. 5) and less funk. Makes really fun!

#4973 05.12.2024 CoR online tasting. Nose Fresh, medium intense, light ester, light wood, faint smoke, fruity, overripe, faint herbal, banana, spice, light pineapple, faint glue. Palate Warm, medium intense, light ester, light wood, fruity, overripe, faint floral, light vegetal, light citrus, light banana, faint chocolate, faint mint. Finish Long and warm, light wood, fruits, light citrus, faint mint, faint floral, light ester. The empty glass has very nice chocolate and light marzipan.

Nose very fruity, rather little ester.... Alcohol very well integrated. In the mouth a bit more bite without being intrusive.... also here nice fruit but also ne portion of wood. But seems nicely balanced. One of the better 1992s I could taste. * Rum needs mMn at least 30min in the glass.

A great continental Hampden. Esters, over and underripe bananas some citrus and with the lightly salty creamy nuts note that lingers the tongue. Also vanilla and ananas, a bit hidden but noticeable, will complete the profile. A lovely dram, great selection

In October 2023, I spent an amazing night sampling rums at Bar Little Happiness in Hiroshima and then purchased some samples for the road. The bar owner was an incredibly kind host and provided me this sample as a present on leaving. This was a lovely, balanced Hampden. All the notes you want and expect to find but in great balance. Esters were there but contained, nice fruit, hints of wood, with a slight smoke like leather. The nose had something fresh and green about it and the palate had a slight herbal, tobacco quality. Thank you for the amazing experience and for the lovely gift.

Schöner weicher und milder Hampden, nach einer zeit im Glas entfaltet sich der anfangs zurückhaltene fruchtkorb von gelben Früchten. Easy zu trinken und angenehm. Abgang ist leider sehr kurz. Aber gutes Teil

Wahnsinnig toller Hampden. Schön fruchtig, easy drinking, aber dabei schön vielseitig komplex. Wieder sieht man das Alter kaum an, am Gaumen wird die kontinentale Reife aber deutlich. Toller Hampden .
