What surprises people first is how gentle it is for a 29-year-old Enmore — one taster called it "surprisingly mellow" for the age. Expect heavy wood, licorice, leather and a musty polish note, with dark chocolate and bitter-orange marmalade underneath. The 49% is beautifully integrated, so it drinks rich but dry rather than hot. Classic wooden-still character without the harshness.

Old Enmore with a very calm, almost reserved presence. On the nose wood, herbs, some wax and a fine, dark fruit note. On the palate soft and rather dry with oak, spices and a slight bitterness. Seems well matured and harmonious, but overall somewhat quiet in expression.

Integrated, full Enmore taste. A little bit more water... Enmore - drive distillery, now only a functional distillation device. Probably the only wooden distillation device in the world that enjoys great popularity. Enmore rums have flavors of ash, leather, heavy wood, which especially excites lovers of smoky whiskies. And if the producer adds a bit of molasses to the rum in the traditional Guyanese way, you have a unique, very expressive and heavy rum in the bottle. One of my favorites.

#6823 21.05.2026 Have a little time for a few extra samples while watching the TV series "Grimm" on Amazon Prime. A very nice Enmore with an attractive price tag at release. Well balanced rum with nice licorice, leather, polish, roasted wood and light chocolate.

3rd GAF Stuttgart As with the other rums I tasted there, this one was also found at the Catawiki stand. A truly good drop that fully met expectations. Enmore DNA in all its glory.

Cologne-Bonn rum tasting: Super balanced rum that you'd gladly put a bottle of on your shelf for the price. Fruits, spices and wood very balanced. Alcohol very well integrated. Simply great!

Very cool 88 Enmore! Intense pastry and citrus aromas. Reminds me of bitter orange marmalade with fruit bread and Assam tea. Really perfectly integrated alcohol and very dense and concentrated and elegant!

Nice woody enmorka. Teochu weaker in the nose, but on the palate a ton of wood, perfectly integrated alcohol, and a beautiful long intense finish. These emorkas are starting to interest me more and more. Beautiful piece. Beautiful.

Nice wood, licorice and leather mustiness on the nose, despite lower abv nicely rich. The palate is quite full too, I especially get woody with dark chocolate notes. Beautiful.
