Relatively relaxed PM profile with spices and dry fruits and nicely balanced green notes. The palate reveals a flavorful complexity of wood, dried fruit, tea, cinnamon, chocolate and subtle pastry notes. The result is an elegant balance between tart wood influences and green spice notes, the delicate sweetness of the dried fruit and pastry notes, and elegant toastiness in the finish. Successful barrel selection!

Very pleasant, balanced aroma. PM style. Great combination of wood, fruit and herbal notes. Relatively few edges on the palate, no bitterness, almost easy sipping. Alcohol very well integrated. I like it very much.

This one is an Medium Port Mourant. My score is for the Nose 87, Taste 88 and the Aftertaste 88 and this sums up to verall 88 points. Well balanced, no bad notes, no bitterness, missing complexity and a little short. But easy sipping rum.

Too bad, had somehow promised me more. If I smell and taste initially still delicious bright red jam or peach jam, the rum is then quickly too woody-bitter and alcoholic. Must probably procure me another sample for another sample.

A continental Uitvlugt that works wonders. The nose is sublime, with a honeyed, praline-like sweetness that joins the fresher, more fragrant floral and herbaceous notes. Fruits (dried and exotic) offer a lovely aromatic bouquet with wood, spices, coffee and chocolate. A nose you can sniff for hours. The attack on the palate is livelier and more intense, with an array of spices (pepper, aniseed, licorice, vanilla, cinnamon, clove and ginger) and aromatic herbs (tea, thyme). Leather, wood and a slightly empyreumatic edge are more pronounced, at the expense of dried fruit. The alcohol is extremely well integrated into this powerful, overwhelming yet highly aromatic whole. The finish is very long. It's also warm, spicy and slightly bitter, with earthy, herbaceous notes, coffee and leather. A hint of vanilla and dark chocolate add an appreciable sweetness to the finish. A very fine profile from Distilia. If the price is debatable, the quality of the juice is unanimously appreciated for its depth, generosity and exuberance.

A beautiful Uitvlugt, no question, brings everything you would expect. In my opinion, very balanced and with well-integrated alcohol. There's really nothing to complain about here. I like it very much.

Nice PM, round, good balance between fruitiness, herbs, wood, alcohol well integrated. Compared to the Berry 1991 clearly more balanced.

This Uitvlugt is a great piece. It is very chocolaty, woody and vanilla-like on the nose :) It then becomes quite dark on the palate. Goes in the direction of Altbier mixed with a little schnapps. Unfortunately I can't put my finger on it.

#5364 30.05.2025 Running a few samples at home while watching a TV series about American football murders. Nose Light wood, spice, light cherry, light mint, faint smoke, faint chocolate, light herbal, light dried fruit. Palate Oily, balanced, light clove, faint caramel, light coffee, light cherry, light herbal, faint smoke, light wood. Finish Long, wood, light smoke, light sour, light raisin, spice, light cherry. Empty glass Vanilla, light chocolate, light smoke, light cherry, faint tea.

The first thought that comes to mind on the initial sniff is rooibos tea: herbal notes accompanied by caramel. The taste then follows in a similar vein, with the 60% well noticeable with a slightly spicy finish. However, a nice mouthfeel with deep complexity.
Review by Skyfly
Very complex rum in which wood and dried fruit complement each other perfectly. The nose and finish are reminiscent of black lindt balls, while the palate also tastes of tea and burnt sugar. The sweetness is very restrained and the alcohol is excellently integrated. Long, beautiful finish. Well worth the purchase!

Fruity PM style, fortunately little aniseed, herbs and pencil, therefore nicely balanced and easy drinking.

It's an excellent rum. To be honest, I counted for more but it's still easily top rum I've had. Great balance and interesting, flavors, reach out which I truly like.
Review by Tom Buteneers
Complex and still a good kind of woody given it’s old age. Powerful but not overpowering, alcohol nicely integrated. Finish lasts a bit.
