Most tasters land on "good agricole, just a touch young." Fresh sugarcane leads — grassy and floral, with green apple, grapefruit peel and a marzipan edge. Dry and straight on the palate, the oak leaning a little bourbon-y, finishing on bitter orange marmalade that dries the mouth out. The 47.9% gives it a clean, pleasant kick without any burn.

I've had this bottle for a while.. had to open it! A rather nice nose even if you can immediately tell it's Marie Galante and there's no beating around the bush. The cane is there, the herbal side, a bit of apple, and finally a white pepper note. It's rather dry, straightforward. The 47 degrees give a little kick that's not unpleasant.

Not my cup of tea. A bit too sour. But I'm generally not a fan of Bielle, so make your own judgment. For me, it's mediocre as an agricole.

A fairly smooth agricole rum. Floral on nose and palate. The alcohol is well integrated, maybe it deserved a bit more than 47.9°. The bourbon side is very present too, for me that's its biggest weakness but it's trendy right now. Go for it if you also like whisky.

12/03/25: tasted @ open bottle sale TasTToe. This is not for me. I don't have much experience with Bielle, and normally I quite like Agricole rums, but this one doesn't work for me. I think it needed a few more years in the cask.

Nose is a bit subdued but quite interesting nonetheless - a bit powdery with grapefruit undertones. Interesting with orange marmalade and typical Bielle. Good price / quality.

Nose rather fresh, a bit of grapefruit at the opening. Then more on the cane. Rounder and more pastry-like. A lot of bitterness, a bit of camphor, bitter orange. Tannic, it dries out. After a bit of opening, it improves and moves towards orange marmalade. It lasts a bit and fades away.
