A Mhoba that reconciles me with Mhoba. Until now I hadn't been won over, even disgusted (the Strand 101) by what I had drunk. Here I tasted a very good rum, in the esters style but still pleasant. I will continue my discovery of the brand.

My first Mhoba and I’m positively surprised. Has a high-ester punchiness that really beefs up the profile. The follow-through and finish is a bit more disappointing as I was expecting more to happen after the initial oomf in the mouth. But still, good rum that makes me curious about this distiller. I have a feeling that Mhoba has the potential for that one expression that will just blow everyone away and hopefully it won’t be too long before they do.
