On the nose I get lots of sweetness: brown sugar, baking spice, crème brûlée, raisin, some oak and chocolate. In the palate it’s a little more straightforward - caramel, raisin, oak - generally sweet, smooth and creamy. Definitely wouldn’t be surprised if there was some doing but it could really go either way. This is a good version of a low ABV, ‘Spanish style’ rum. Unfortunately, this isn’t my style, but for many this would be the pinnacle. For someone that wants the smooth, easy drinking rum with dessert-like flavors, this could be a 9. For me, it’s pleasant but uninteresting and overpriced.

Very similar to Frigate 21 year I just had before. Same Don Pancho base. A little darker though. This is smoother than Frigate 21 but also a little less oak character. I preferred that one, honestly, but they are very similar back to back. Mostly coconut and vanilla. Lighter oak. Some florals. Not sure I want to pay this much because Bruno Mars likes it. But hey, who am I. Sample big thanks to Yaro.
