Review by Master P
Light, honey & vanilla, light wood and some apricot on the nose. Very round for its age and for a Bacardi. In the mouth it has a peppery edge, but remains nicely balanced - but unfortunately quite thin and characterless. Great stuff for cocktails that otherwise need white rum. And that's exactly what it's good for. OK for Cuba Libre

Surprisingly good, it is a solid, slightly matured rum. Primarily for mixing, of course, with the familiar Bacardi aroma coming through positively. Significantly better than the cheaper Bacardis, price is ok.

Very soft, sweet nose, dominated by vanilla. A sensation of coconut. It promises to be round and sweet. It is. But not much happens on the palate. A little wood, caramel, all coated with pepper. Not a very pleasant aqueous sensation and a synthetic edge. I didn't check the bottle for additives, but I wouldn't be surprised. To finish in a cocktail.

I actually prefer this to the bottle of Bacardi 8 I have here. Not complex, but decently smooth. Light years ahead of the gold, but still just OK.

As for me - the best Bacardi.

Compared to the wood stain that Bacardi otherwise offers a pleasant light representative that you can also drink neat (if the bar nothing else gives)

A marketable product that mixes well, when found in a promotion for 70-75zł it is a very competitive item

The nose is vanilla dominate but with a good amount of wood and spices thrown in. There's also a distant iodine like medicinal note that is somewhat unusual. The palate is sweeter than the nose. Lots of caramel and varnished wood with some rasins coming toward the back end. The finish doesn't hang around for long but has a industrial chemical note, similar to nail polish with a hint of caramel. Overall, not actually bad for a cheap Bacardi. Definitely a step up from the Blanca. On the other hand not something to get overly excited about.
