Somehow too much of everything... Too sweet... It's not round... I'd rather have an Elexier de Cuba 2nd tasting with a little ice was better. 3rd tasting without ice. Overripe fruit and lots of sweetness. But somehow it has something...

I recommended this to a beginner friend who likes sweetened rums. A direct hit! Cold work as a dessert rum, like Zacapa etc. Personally, it didn't convince me as it is too sweet and leaves an artifical impression.

What can you say. Actually, you need a separate category for such things. It really has nothing to do with rum and any comparison with serious drops makes no sense. However, if you approach it as a dessert ingredient, then it has something. Fat chocolate notes on the nose and palate, round, sweet and surprisingly you don't notice the 47% at all. I can well imagine a little chocolate tart with liquid chocolate core and letting the Companero soak in - that sounds pretty good to me.
