Superb guyana rom from plantation! Chocolate on the noise immediately, but in the glass it develop to More funky fruity smell. The taste have the same development. Almost 9/10 for my taste.

Deliciously chocolaty, Great rum as an avec or with a cigar. Also, I will always make ONE daiquiri with any rum, and with this, it’s a delicious one.

A soft, round and pastry nose. The mouth mixes a very floral aspect with the sweetness of caramel. It's good but lacks character.

The nose is fantastic. On one hand it’s very sweet, pastry-like with fruit and almonds. On another pass it’s much darker with raisins, banana, oily with a hint of gasoline. I keep going back to it. Nice sweet entry, vanilla, dark fruit and robustly round tasting. Moments of dried and toasted nuts, and towards the back a bit of tobacco . Hint of smoke? It all dissipates quickly but nicely into a not too long finish starting with chocolate and spice and ending with a more vegetal bias, the chocolate reforming as more bitter cocoa. Ashy eucalyptus.

When looking at the price tag you get a lot for your money when you buy this bottle. It's a bit different from the regulate Guyana in a good way. I liked it enough to order a few bottles. The nose is lightly fruity with vanilla, nuts and cocoa as well as light flavors of pastry. The palate is sweet and fruity with molasses, floral, nuts and vanilla as well as tobacco notes. The finish is medium long and warm with spices, licorice and chocolate. Leave the empty glass for a few hours and whif it again 😊

Petite dégustation au calme chez le copain Guigui. Au nez c’est plaisant avec pas mal de coco vanille et chocolat, la bouche suit avec quelques épices en plus. La finalement également, moyennement longue. Très sympa.

I don't have much experience with Guyana rums, but this one is different from what I've tasted before. It's less exuberant. The nose is quite pleasant, with hints of choco/wood/raisin. The palate is a bit confusing, starting with warm choco/woody notes, then quickly moving into a bitter phase before returning to dried fruit. I imagine the original juice to be quite biting, which the cognac cask must have rounded off nicely.

Fruity in a way that one does not normally associate mentally with DDL products. Unctuous nose with fruit, nuts, and olive oil notes, plus the suggestion of a hay field. Fairly delicate body like a cognac or just a sweet white wine, with lots of fruit notes - watermelon, strawberry, apple. Honey sweetness emerges giving the sense of mead. After 30 minutes or so breathing time, some richer molasses notes emerge on the nose and palate, like the pot still component is fighting its way out. White wine/honey finish, perhaps just mead-like.
