This is a typical Foursquare Barbados profile — fruity, easygoing, a little sweet — softened further by the wine-cask finish. At 49.5% it stays relaxed rather than hot. Finally taken out of the cupboard and opened. For me an underdog with a good price-performance ratio. Both 0.5l bottles currently available again at Rumpiraten for 60€ in a bundle. At that price, there’s really nothing to think about. Edit: Bottle empty and the good mixer is no longer available

#6811 19.05.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after my hiking and picking up my wife. Listening to som nice tracks on Spotify by Nifra, Jardin and Hardwell. Looking at the price tag you get a lot, like a lot for your oney. Fruity rum with wine notes, spice, roasted wood, light tannins, light chocolate and natural sweetness.

The Madeira cask comes through well and adds a fine raisin sweetness and aromas reminiscent of almond brittle to the easy-drinking rum. Tasty and quaffable, but almost too agreeable and therefore somehow a bit interchangeable unfortunately.

For 30€, you really can't go wrong with this rum. Typical Barbados profile. It's very fruity, especially banana is noticeable. On the palate, some vanilla also comes through. Top rum.

A real price-performance hit. For 30€, you get a really decent Foursquare. Not as complex as the ECS, but a nice light sipper. You can't go wrong here. I like it.

The cask strength bottling already makes this rum from Barbados special, and on top of that, the aging in Madeira casks. Overall very well done, always tasty & never boring!
