I became aware of the Travellers Distillery through very well-rated bottlings from other independent bottlers. Compared to those, which were also distilled around 2007 and aged 10+ years, this rum is a real bargain! Brilliant roasted aromas, caramel, banana, vanilla, milk chocolate, with the focus more on the caramel side. Unfortunately, not much happens on the palate except a direct combination of sweet caramel and roasted/spicy spices. Overall, I quite like the rum, especially the combination of banana-coffee-cream toffee-milk chocolate, but the mouthfeel lags behind due to the sharp alcohol note.

Dude, I should have noticed right away that this is a Traveller's. It's also relatively sweetish, showing caramel, honey, and butterscotch. Despite all that, still quite spicy, nutty, and woody.
