People already into agricole are the audience here: a young Guadeloupe cane-juice rum, all cut grass, honey, and floral notes with bright papaya and melon underneath. At cask strength the 55.2% still shows some heat and rough edges. Several tasters called it a decent but "interchangeable" young agricole — grassy, earthy, fresh, and honest, but not one that reaches for greatness.

10.02.2024 tasting event at the Nobilis Warehouse, Haderslev. Retasting and I stick to my initial score. ----------------------- Once rested this is a pretty nice rum. A young rum but still manages to make a good impression.

Einen Agricole zum Abschluss. Ja den kann man mal machen. Sehr, sehr pflanzlich, frisch und floral in der Nase. Am Gaumen dann ebenfalls frisch und floral, außerdem leicht erdig und auch etwas holzig. Anständiger Agricole.

First of all, No. 22B of the three to start with... Nose: fruity-floral-sweet. A mix of ripe, almost fermented honeydew melon, papaya, and green mango. Sweetness of honey and sugar water. Plus a slight vinegar note and some vegetal hints towards pickled artichoke. At the back, a dry, woody nuance. On the palate initially strong and salty, then increasingly earthy and grassy. I perceive a slightly fruity note of unripe papaya. Freshly cut twigs and caraway come through. Finish of hay and grassy sugarcane. Young and therefore typical and also interchangeable Agricole.

Solid, young rum with still a lot of youthful freshness. Still with some rough edges, the alcohol is not fully tamed yet. Potential is there, interesting experience, but I definitely prefer the more mature Montebellos.

Sample Interesting that after 6 years in barrel, they compare this rum to the unaged rum from the distillery. Seems there is some decline in quality and aromas. Much more grassy and bitter. Light fruits. Perfume. Flowers. Slightly earthy. Light sweetness. Good rum but not something I would recommend buying.

Well... Sweetness, some green and yellow fruits. Alcohol well integrated. Result: Unremarkable Agricole, not bad, but nothing special either.

Pleasant floral and fruity nose.. on the palate from the start earthiness, freshly cut grass, later the 55.2% abv reminds you and a bit of melon comes through. The whole thing is very intense finished with a long finish. For me, a great agricole.
