Most tasters are genuinely surprised how drinkable 82.8% can be — the alcohol reads far lower than the number suggests, more like "60-something percent" to several. Expect ripe honeydew melon, fresh sugarcane juice, jasmine and a green, vegetal side, with an oily texture that clings. Agricole skeptics still bounced off it; the club that tried it "really don't like it." Loud, fruity, unaged white.

Brutally cool overproof Agricole. Intense aromas of honeydew melon and sugar cane juice. Alcohol surprisingly well integrated. Aromatically really incredibly exciting. Very complex and delicious. Makes a gigantic Ti Punch!

20-03-2026 - Rate 2.7 Our club bought a agricole set from Kevin. To challenge our selves. We usually don’t drink much agricole. Have some few favorits (Savanna, Bellevue and most Haiti) We are not fans of this one. Sorry for the low rating, but we really don’t like it. Nice to be challenged and to try something different. This one was the best of the tasting, but as the rating shows I’m still not up there with the once who loves agricole

Third, the original juice of the two (22B and C). No. 22A. And that hits the suppository with almost 83% properly.nose: careful smelling is announced, but then comes a lot of fermented fruit, floral and something vegetal. Here the unripened Agricole resemble each other but clearly. This one has an oily heaviness. Ripe honeydew melon and papaya meet mild olive. The 83% is there, but doesn't hurt.Palate: blatantly creamy, oily and intense. I think even my pulse quickens briefly at the %%. But flows amazingly well down the palate. Lots of fermented honeydew melon. Slightly bitter for a moment, then honeyed sweetness again. In the back, typical Agricole, becoming distinctly grassy.Challenging and flavor intense. Very interesting.

The Montebello comes across as quite intense... it can't hide its 80+ ABV... from the nose to the finish they are quite present, but in a pleasant way... the herbal side dominates..on the palate also a heavy sweetness ... PS: it's fantastic in TiPunch... heavy and fruity 😋

The rum with the highest ABV i ever drunk (so far)! This is a really nice fruit bomb with lovely sugarcane notes. The alcohol is integrated very well, but some drops of water will help for sure 😜! Blind i would rate it between 60-max70%.

Tasting rums with such a high alcohol level is always quite an exercise. If you don't get too close to the glass, it's a pleasant cane and mostly floral, I think jasmine. A bit of melon too. The palate hits hard! Warm floral vegetal attack. A metallic passage. Very long finish still vegetal, but a taste bothered me a bit at one point, I searched and thought of ammonia.

10.02.2024 tasting event at the Nobilis Warehouse, Haderslev. Retasting and I still love this heavy hitter. ----------------------- Despite the high ABV this release really pulls it off. Once rested (I did 30 minutes after the first sip) it really kicks in. An intense but well balanced rhum and I know where I can go and get a glass locally as well. In short, fruity, floral and well balanced intense rum. I like the oily texture that keeps the flavours on the palate for a very long time.

As expected, intense, plenty of fermented fruit, sugar cane, olive brine, herbal aromas...all embedded in - unsurprisingly given the strength - recognizable alcohol, which is by no means overpowering.

🔹 Nobilis Montebello 2019 BDC – 82.8% A thrilling column still brut, which seriously ramps up the voltage! Aromatic explosion of ripe melon, honey and cane juice. Despite the 82.8%, the alcohol is surprisingly well integrated. It's intense, complex, and devilishly seductive. For lovers of strong sensations, it offers Ti-Punches of rare power! 💭 Too bad the rest of this batch was sent to a rather disappointing Caroni finish... This column brut deserved better in my opinion.

Insanely intense unaged Agricole

The ABV is felt strongly as soon as the nose gets over the glass. Tones are végétal, floral, some fruits, olive, oily and very warm. I'm used to working in hospitals and I think there is a slight touch of medicine. The palate is really powerful, though well balanced. One can really feel this rum going down in the belly, it's warm. Flavours are globally the same than in the nose. I find the finish surprisingly short. This rum is not my kind, I think it lacks something like complexity compared to old dark rums and ABV too high for my taste even if well integrated, but I nevertheless recognize it is a good one. Congrats Nobilis !

I would expect something at 82% to be much harsher and unpleasant. This is an excellent and very interesting rum. Feels like 60-something percent. Strange smell, a bit sour and lactic. Like watermelon or mango rotting. Funky. On the palate we already have fruity sweetness. Herbaceous. Slight esters. Very lively and green in a good way. Perfume. Sour fruits. I don't see how to finish a bottle like this 🥴 but no doubt it's very suitable for a few drams and its price for the value is simply excellent.

Tasting at the Nobilis booth at GRF 2026. Hence a short review. Classic unaged here with intense power (ABV 82.8%). Well integrated, as far as you can say that at this strength. Fully on the green/plant aromas. Surprisingly drinkable neat, but will be amazing in mixers. I'm thrilled and took a bottle right away.

Poured from a sample. A bruiser of a Rhum. This has strong notes of toothpaste and citrus, along with sugarcane freshness and minerality. Feels very similar to the Pere Labat Les Mangles but less refined. Overall a good Rhum that is the definition of a mood pour.

More than 82 degrees, it is the strongest rum of my tastings to date! But very surprised by the heat it gives off in the mouth without burning! True to the Guadeloupean column bruts, it is sugar cane to the nose and the trip is intense in the mouth leaving the heat for a long time! Excellent!

Superb column still. Alcohol surprisingly well integrated considering the strength. Nose of concentrated fermented sugarcane. Palate in the same vein, with a hint of green olive added. Warm and pleasant finish. However, consume with great moderation.

This is really strong. After a careful sniff, I can smell a lot of fruit, straw and perhaps even a donkey soaked in alcohol. The amps are a real bummer, but the taste is not as wild as I would expect from so much alcohol, but it is still very strong for me. Anyway, a good experience and the strongest sample I've ever tasted so far.
