Extremely fruity pineapple note - pure summer! Just the right level of power on the palate paired with typical Grand Arôme aromas. Great fun on its own and also makes really tasty daiqiris. An absolute recommendation in the white rum segment!

Intense on the nose with lots of esters. Basket of fresh tropical fruits. Some sweetness and (after quite some time in the glas) a hint of cinnamon. Very enjoyable. Very tasty on the palate. Well balanced with meticulously integrated alcohol and a creamy texture makes this a very solid unaged choice for sipping.

27.09.2024 Retasting with Savanna and still a good rum. ------------------- #4199 Wow, this one is really good especially when looking at the price tag. The esters are there and I'd say this is a light HERR 😊 Fruity and fresh and the palate is nice and warm/spicy with a long warm finish. The empty glass has a nice smoky note to it.

Dégustation des Savanna high ester. Un nez de bubble gum avec des fruits frais, ananas et banane. Mais aussi de l’olive et du végétal (herbes sèches). L’attaque est vive mais l’alcool laisse aussitôt la place aux esters. Un petit côté amer végétal, goudron et médicamenteux vient un peu perturber la bouche. Ensuite ce sont pourtant les fruits qui ont le dernier mot. La finale n’est pas très longue mais avec de beaux fruits et une acidité soutenue. Un rhum à boire aussi pur mais qui doit être surtout intéressant en cocktail.

Olive brine tempered by very ripe fruit and esters. As is so often the case with Savanna, you'll either love it or hate it. As far as I'm concerned, this Savanna is still very nice!

Post-tasting of the Masterclass Savanna High Ester. This is what a highlight ester should taste like. Lots of ester on the nose, also very fruity and a little olive. Also fruity on the palate, but also fresh and herbal. Thumbs up for this.

Savannah High Ester Masterclass. Ich mag das Lontan57Profilsehr gerne. Nicht so gut wie die LMDW Birthday Edition hat aber auf jeden Fall das gleiche Grundgefühl. Für den Preis auf jeden Fall ein geiler Rum.

On its own, it's too smoky/umami and salty after olive brine for me. In the daiquiri it's quite exciting with this pineapple olive note, but overall it's still not quite my cup of tea... It has something of a diluted HERR.

Le premier rhum que j ai goûté de la Réunion (hormis Charette).on m avait ramené cette bouteille de là bas .Ce fut une sacrée claque . Sur le moment je me suis dit : je n arriverai jamais à boire Ça ! Son exubérance était perturbant : l alcool , les ester , l olive, le fumé. En plus je débutais dans le rhum. Finalement j ai appris à l apprécier, pour Finalement vraiment aimer. En ti punch maracuja c est formidable.

Coole Nummer. Oliven und Salzlake in der Nase. Erinnert mich an Poulet au Citron und Blätterteig. Im Bouquet leicht Hampden-ig. Pur wird er insbesondere mit ein wenig Wasser wesentlich gefälliger. Tolles Preisverhältnis. Langer Abgang.

Unzweifelhaft ein guter Mixer und für diesen Zweck wird er Mal auf der Einkaufsliste landen künftig. Tolle nicht enden wollende Ananas die durchweg präsent ist. Man könnte ja fast meinen das sei hier ein Arrange so deutlich ist der Geschmack. Für die Bar daheim unbedingt zu empfehlen.

The Lontan 57.5 not only comes across very well in a daiquiri, I also enjoy it on its own. Although the aromas of pineapple and overripe berries are much milder than in the HERR, they are complemented by an olive note that I find very appealing and fitting.

"This is a deep and complex rum that really shines, a lot of honey sweet aroma with a hint of smokyness. This is the most unusual lontan out of the flight. It lingers endlessly but in the end I like batch 4 just a bit better. Nice funk"
