Extremely crazy! Belize finished in a Caroni cask... Belize subtly brings some milk chocolate, roasted coconut chips, cream caramel, salt and honey banana & caramelized pineapple, baked peach, as well as strong peach iced tea but is almost dominated by the smoky and intense notes from the Caroni cask... On the finish somewhat fresh with allspice and menthol... Overall really awesome stuff!! Great combo offered here! The interplay between Belize and Caroni finish is unique to me and therefore the high rating. Great cinema for every day, neither overwhelming nor underwhelming. I’d love to have a reserve bottle of this.

Solid Belize. Will try again soon, if the nose is not closed. Even after tasting it again, this Belize has a bitter note that I don't like at all. Probably comes from the Caroni cask. Otherwise, it has everything a strong Belize needs. Last bottle tasting: unfortunately I'm not warming to it :)

8,7:On the nose, the first impression we get is fruity and dirty with tropical fruits like coconut, banana, then yellow with apricots and peaches, as dirty and rubbery come from ex Caroni cask finish.The wood is roasted with caramel, milk chocolate, leather, coffee, cream toffee. On aeration, strong cardboard note arises, the caramel is candied, molasses brings perfume, as the wood is burnt with sugar, smoky, spicy and menthol is also present. Very complex, but round. 8,6:On the palate, the attack is mostly winterly, smoky and sweet with roasted, spicy, perhaps charred wood notes like caramel, cream toffee, nuts, chocolate.Then Caroni dirt and rubber come out, tropical fruits are with coconut and banana, with resting, citrus pops up, red, dried fruits like raisins and apricots are here, as very pleasant peaches. Industrial notes bring bitterness, also vegetal molasses with black tea, menthol is also present.We have a very round and creamy rum attacking our tasting buds... 8,7:The finish is really long, creamy, even more delicious as before, dry and spicy with allpice.There are tropical and dried fruits, as the wood is smoky and roasted, the molasses earthy with tobacco, industrial with rubber, dirt. Great Belize rum that offers something across the board. Fruit, wood, spice. The maturation in Caroni casks makes the rum appear a bit rounder and more complex. Caroni is definitely noticeable. Nice.

24.02.2023 Enjoying some samples at home with a good friend. Colour Dark in colour. Nose Wood, light roasted, faint caramel, fruits, light coconut, spice, light earthy, faint rubber. Palate Warm, round, wood, faint smoke, light caramel, fruits, light coconut, light pineapple, faint rubber, faint chocolate. Finish Wood, light roasted, light coconut, light dried fruit, spice, light chocolate.

So, finally something decent in the glass :-) very fruity anyway this rum, also very sweet on the palate, caramel and sugar are definitely recognizable. A rum for beginners and nothing for pros :-) Drink up :):)

I'm thrilled. A very pleasant surprise. You actually get a brief Caroni vibe on the nose: fruity and a crazy amount of old pipe tobacco at the start. It has hints of burnt rubber, giving it a slightly dirty feel. Now the soft, sweet, and fruity aromas come through. Apricot with coconut, creamy toffee, vanilla, and milk chocolate. A really great mix. 8.6 Palate: the nice impression continues here as well. Plenty of old pipe tobacco, slightly bitter, plus rich pecan nuts, a hint of mint and licorice, maybe also liquorice root. It's wrapped by coconut and again, somewhat lighter, apricot. That sweet note of burnt rubber again. Very nice. Coconut and chocolate let Belize shine through. I like it very much here too. 8.4 Really outstanding and interesting for a Belize.

What a combination - the Belize harmonizes perfectly with the ex-Caroni cask and brings out the advantages of both. Tropical fruits, rubber, wood, mint, peach, caramel and chocolate are just some of the aromas that appear from nose to finish in different expressions.

Very interesting experiment with the Caroni finish. From my point of view, it succeeded. Both flavor profiles really come through. I did not expect that. Definitely recommendable if you like both profiles.

You should give it a bit of time to reveal all that it contains. Exciting combination, lots of wood, subtle sweetness and then it gets dirty with notes of rubber and again lots of wood in the finish.

Extraordinary nose that evolves as it oxidizes! Apple, first nose when opening the bottle! Then as it airs, warm almond cake. It's a very confusing nose!! Powerful attack on the palate, very present alcohol but the finish is extraordinary on sugar at various points of the tongue. Really confusing, so much that you end up with a sweet taste!! Warm at the end of the mouth!

One of the sweetest rum i ever had. It might be one of the first Belize, so hard to tell which is the true dna and what is added by the cask, but the overall impression is great.
