Whisky & Rhum Clarendon L'Esprit 2013
"Tropical fruit meets tea, wood and a hint of menthol" is how one member sums it up, and that fits a clean, well-picked Clarendon. Solvent and pineapple on the nose, passion fruit and lime on the palate, drying into burnt wood on a long finish. At 67.3% the alcohol stays present but never turns nasty — a few give it a long rest in the glass first.

Review by Jakob
Tropical fruits meet tea, wood and a touch of menthol. Nice selection, good Clarendon. The alcohol remains present, but does not drift into the unpleasant. Overall, the flavor spectrum remains within the expected range, overall would have to do a bit more flavorwise to advance to even higher dimensions.

Nez classique solvants fruits tropicaux.
