RumX community meeting eight October 2025. Almost forgot to check this in, but whatever. Still a good T.D.L. So mint is definitely recognizable, otherwise some metal, banana and tropical fruits. Top.

Premier community meeting RumX at Acht. A nose where the wonderful fruitiness of TDL is somewhat muted and the wood is too pronounced. The entry on the palate is a bit sharp, metallic, but the fruits are there and the wood, dominant on the nose, here acts more as support. The finish is also a bit sharp, medicinal, but it fades and the fruits then a nice woody bitterness take over. A delicious rum, marred by a somewhat overpowering sharpness.

The alcohol is pretty intense but with some water - and by that I mean lot - you get quite a decent TDL and it feels nice and balanced. Drinking this neat would be a waste.

Beautiful matte bottle under 100 euros. You can feel the alcohol, but very drinkable. I recommend it even to beginner rum drinkers to discover new flavors. The mint from TDL is an unmistakable taste that you will never get tired of.

Alcohol not well integrated. Not very exciting with a hint of berry fruit, slightly sweet, a little smoky on the finish. There are much better T.D.Ls in my opinion

It’s an interesting rum from Thompson Bros. A relatively young and fairly brash rum from TDL bottled at 13 years. The nose is fairly typical with copper and metallic notes and little in the way of fruit, mouth again metal with earth and wet root notes and a hint on salty brine. The finish is medium length and a bit thin but with more interesting layers including soap, vegetation and cloves. It is not a super impressive rum but interesting enough to try and while not impressive not disasterous across any dimension and hard to complain for the price
