Intense but not burning or scratching. In the smell almost overwhelming. Many esters combined with strong molasses tones. Licorice, tropical fruits. This rum is fermented with the help of wild yeasts and later inoculated with pure culture yeasts and then distilled on a hybrid still. This batch is also no comparison to its predecessor.

Exciting combination of fresh notes of kitchen herbs and hay, plus sweetness and spices. Completely independent profile, definitely worth trying!

Tried at the 11th GRF: After not being so enthusiastic in the past, I have to clearly revise my opinion with the latest batch. A skillfully made rum with character and some exciting grassy-herbal notes. After a talk with the friendly owner, I’m curious what else will come from this and will definitely keep an eye on it!

Once again a rum from Germany in the glass. On the nose, briefly towards Jamaica. Fruity, a bit of ester and glue. On the palate very mild, young wood, a bit of fruit. For me, it could be more complex overall and have a longer finish. But I blame that on the fact that I currently mostly drink cask strengths. For me, a solid and well-made rum that I find a cozy daily sipper.

I really liked it, but I miss some fruity aromas. But this rum is really great, very much in the Jamaica style and from Germany, my rum-experienced guests were all enthusiastic. Will definitely buy again.
