Normally i‘m not a huge fan of belize, but this one is really special. The DOK finish brings in a fantastic note and is a good mix with the typical fruity notes known from Belize. Update: I took home a bottle, to share it with some friends. The nose is still like on the grf, but in mouth it‘s has less impact of the DOK finish. It‘s a pity… The finish is very delicious and a mix of various oak barrel notes paired with fruits and licorice. It last very long and leave an astringend feeling on the tongue. All in all it‘s an amazing Belize, for me a nice daily sipper 🤪🤪

Classic Belize representative supplemented by a slight lactic acid aroma, which evokes associations with creme brûlée for me. Could this come from the DOK finish? If so, the experiment would have succeeded at this point at the latest, because this note brings a refreshing innovation to the otherwise often little varied profile of the Travellers bottlings - which is in no way to deny the basic quality, but merely to address the somewhat limited flavor variability and diversity.

Interesting Belize. I don't think the alcohol is perfectly integrated or my expectations of a Belize are a little too relaxed. The DOK finish definitely makes it unique. Reminds me a lot of a Foursquare today.

It's amazing how strong the DOK finish is on the nose. So here is an aged Belize that delivers muted fruit and above all chocolate and cocoa as well as oak and a light smoky note and then 1 month of intensive maturation in intensive HD, which brings esters and tart pineapple aromas. The %% and the esters stand out a little at first. These and the tart pineapple, lime, sour cherry and green apple flavors then fade into the milder wood and chocolate aromas. Palate: the DOK finish also has an extreme influence here. Dry and astringent, bitter and salty. Goes almost in the direction of iodine. Then has clear acidity from lime and the esters. Now some licorice, tobacco and smoke gain the upper hand. Tobacco, wood, cocoa and light esters on the finish. An interesting attempt...

This rum is a good example of a good cask finish and the price to quality is very good. Like the light woody note from start to finish.

Gerade weil ich vom Geruch her so viel erwartet habe .

Well done!

Tasted at the 11th GRF: Good, but nothing more. Unlike many other Belizes quite alcoholic, the over 65% are very present. Since I like another Belize from the recent past significantly better, which (mind you, at the time) were also available for somewhat smaller money.

Trotzdem lecker.
