Glue, acetone and nail-polish hit first — several tasters literally reach for "UHU" to describe it. Under all that solvent there's a little citrus and white fruit, plus a long dry finish. This unaged, high-ester Dominican column-still bottling isn't built for sipping; almost everyone who liked it liked it in a daiquiri, where the ester punch actually earns its place.

A "compulsive" purchase on a pirate site in Germany... at €32 you can't expect much for a great aroma BUT, sure the nose is completely on esters and alcohol; too much on the alcohol. But on the palate, there is still some fruit, not unpleasant. I took it later in a daiquiri and that really works! Not crazy, but still worth a little 7.

#4015 I would prefer this rum on the rocks or in a mixer. It's a little bit off in my mind, but I do like the very long and dry finish that stays with you for a long while.

An unaged high-ester rum that polarizes when sipped neat and clearly targets lovers of the extreme. Glue, solvent, and sharp esters dominate so strongly that fruit and citrus remain faint in the background. At 57% ABV, it feels sharp and quite unbalanced. The profile definitely leaves an impression. Certainly better suited as a bold base for a Daiquiri.

Despite glue and varnish coming through both on the nose and palate, it’s not the worst unaged rum I’ve tasted although I can now see why this is one of those cocktail rums - not really meant for sipping, more for mixing to provide an ester-y element to them It’s nice to taste a little citrus on the palate but the industrial notes certainly take over quickly enough - not for me

🔹 S.B.S Origin Dominican Republic “Aroma Grande” – 57% A high ester white rum (about 500 g/hlap), unaged, column distilled by Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos (AFD), for 1423 World Class Spirits, a well-known Danish bottler. Profile: opening with notes of solvents and acetone, then sliding towards white and red fruits, then a dry and slightly oily finish. Clearly not a pure tasting rum – little interest as is – but reveals its full potential in mixology, especially in creative Daiquiris where its unique structure can work wonders.

Lacquer, glue, esters and a bit of lemon on the nose. Here a rather unspectacular entry into the topic. Extremely sweet, unfortunately quite spritzy. 'Uhu' is probably the best description here. Unfortunately, not much more happens here except this hint of citrus and some grappa/grape. But it makes at least a solid daiquiri, for those who like it a bit more charismatic in it.

Nail polish with glue in a rum bottle. I understand rum is not always carmel, spices and chocolate, or fruits and vegetable, but this is to much. It is not enjoyable nothing show in aftertaste and I don't understand what was point of this bottle, even water brings nothing new

So my cup of rum it’s not at all, I’m not really into these diluted rums, and here there’s quite a lot of thinner, nail polish remover and glue 😁 esters are noticeable, ideal for cask finishing at home 👍🏼 very alcoholic, or good for mixed drinks where the taste breaks down and a sweeter aroma unfolds, which is hidden behind the nail polish remover.

Pure somewhat difficult in the drink not so wrong. Aromatically extremely much varnish and esters, but somehow not the beautiful esters. Reminds me of an unclean distilled pomace brandy with the pre- and post-run was not properly separated and thus the Uhu glue comes through. But as I said, in the drink really good and for a rum from the Dom Rep amazingly interesting.
