Crazy good, fruity-vanilla rum with excellent integrated alcohol, wonderfully soft body and medium-long, almond-like finish. Great thing!

Crass rum, infinitely round. Honey, fruit, wood, wine, chocolate and spices blend perfectly. Mild and delicious in the mouth, the flavors of the nose continue to pull through. Compared to the Port Cask Expression, this rum is a bit more approachable and easier to drink, but that doesn't make it better or worse now. I think both are brilliant. Unfortunately, the price is set quite high.

Wow, very very tasty, a good interplay of all the flavors. So good that you have to restrain yourself. In the finish, the finish becomes a little more dominant or clearer to the fore.

Probably together with the Port cask Expression the best I have ever drunk from Mount Gay. Incredibly complex, intense and funky. Madeira influence harmonizes perfectly with the rum and makes really fun!

I quite like this Mount Gay, quite round and sweet, which I guess is the Madeira influence. Its very drinkable and dissapears quickly! Honey, caramel, Vanilla, spice, dried fruits and wood in the background. Quite a lot to like for this one. You can't question the quality from Mount gay, it's just that they are all quite similar, this one stands out to me. Short to medium finish.

The nose is very restrained. The Madeira cask is clearly recognizable, relatively sweet overall with caramel, dried fruit, honey, raisins and chocolate. On the palate, the alcohol is hardly noticeable at all. The Madeira cask can also be clearly tasted here. All in all, a very round and drinkable Mount Gay.

I bought this one at the German Rum Fest just before it closed down and enjoying it right now for a second tasting. A ver nice and balanced rum. Fruity with spice and light wood. I like the overall balance and natural sweetness. Overall a very well rounded rum with a very good price tag in my mind. I do have all the previous cask expressions and i think they line up pretty well to each other.

Very warm, powerful and balanced on the nose. Dried fruit, apple, caramel. Round. Dried fruit and spice with plenty of pepper. The opposite pole is formed by citrus fruits that bring in freshness. Also remotely reminiscent of a good ron. Warm and spicy finish. My best Mount Gay to date. However, it lacks the complexity and specific profile of the premier league. But it's well crafted and certainly drinkable.

The Madeira barrel and higher alcohol content give the rum a nice boost of complexity. Reminds by the coconut and toasty Kako associations of a very good Foursquare. Column still quite dominant, nevertheless great rum!

Das Madeira Finish ist schon deutlich dominant, aber auch nicht störend. Aber der Grundstoff ist dadurch nicht mehr wirklich erkennbar. Blind hätte ich sicher auf Foursquare getippt. Column Stil ist schon deutlich vorhanden.

Typical Bajan. Reminds me a lot of FC ECS releases with that touch of red fruits. Well balanced.
